The Many Ways to Make Money on the Internet
With all of the make money on the internet hype, you would think that it would be simple. Make $60/hr by filling out surveys! While technically true, if you can wrap out six $10 surveys per hour, the availability just isn't there. The hardest part to make money on the internet is the research. Once you find some viable websites that offer good payouts for your hard work, you will be well on your way to some impressive residual income online.
The easiest way for a beginner to make money on the internet is to participate in the many different online writing sites. These sites tend to pay based on an advertising revenue sharing algorithm. These algorithms are closely guarded to prevent fraud. In order to start making money from your writing you will have to realize that you don't have to be a professional writer to make money. In fact, it helps more if you are good at search engine optimization. In my opinion, the first site to join is Ehow.com. Ehow.com has great Google and Alexa rankings, which means that your articles will receive good traffic without too much promotion. Ehow.com also has some of the best payouts available on the web. After you set up a base income on Ehow.com, you should diversify your income by joining some other writing sites. These sites include, but are not limited to; InfoBarrell, Suite101, Triond, and Bukisa.
Your online writing should be your cash cow because it is easy to increase the amount of income you see from it with little work and it will give you time to work on other projects. Another great way to make money on the internet is to set up a blog or website. Blogs are free and useful for extremely targeted subjects that don't require multiple pages of diversified information. Creating residual income from a blog or website is a lot more labor intensive than creating online writing but it can also be far more lucrative. The difficult part of creating a blog is the web promotion. It is an arduous process and most give up before realizing their efforts. Remember, this is free, all it costs is time. You can promote your blog by using your writing sites that you have already joined.
After you have set up a blog or website, you will want to monetize it with adsense and affiliate links. This will be what generates your income. You will want to put links to related products on your site or you won't make any money.
If you do enough research, you will be amazed at what you find. There are sites that pay you to play video games. You can participate in mock trials. You can even get paid for social bookmarking, which stands for posting links and making friends. Their are plenty of opportunities to make money online if you know where to look.

I tried to do the surveys once, and with living in Canada, there are no surveys that pay (or very little) I found the articles the best way to make some extra money, and if you link your articles to your blog you have a good chance of traffic. Great article!
I just found this site, opinion outpost, they pay a couple of dollars per survey. That is pretty high for online surveys and they only take 20 minutes or so.
Great idea. But now a days, i has become extremely difficult to register successfully with google adsense. Even if you start writing, which I also started, you need a lot of marketing which is extremely difficult. For Creating blog and marketing (driving traffic etc) there are lot of resources. however, to find the genuine one is the problem.
