By Edited Nov 13, 2013 0 0

Obsessed with Money?
Obsession is defined as the domination of one's thoughts or feelings by a persistent idea, image, desire, etc. We often use the word obsession or obsessed in a negative way but it can actually be used to help improve your life. To make a big change or any change for that matter it is very helpful to become obsessed with that change, if only for a short time. By becoming obsessed you can go from not knowing anything about a subject or activity to very knowledgeable. You can use obsession to loss weight or climb the corporate ladder. Anything your heart desires. Of course you can become overly obsesses but that's another subject.

Napoleon Hill author of the famous self help book Think and Grow Rich didn't use the word obsession he used the phase "Burning Desire" either way same effect. He taught his students to fix there mind on the exact object of their desire and obsess over it. This is exactly what needs to be done to make changes in your life. He also taught "if you truly desire X so keenly that your desire is an obsession, you will have no difficulty in convincing yourself that you will acquire it. X being anything maybe its weight loss, paying of a loan, becoming debt free or learning how to cook on a smoker what ever it is you really want to change. Become obsessed.

How to Become Obsessed

How do you become obsessed you ask? Well some might think this is a stupid question but it's not because what needs to be done might sound easy but unless you truly want to change it just will not happen, so you need to bring it into every part of your life. You need to spend as much of your free time as possible learning everything you can about the subject of you're soon to be obsession. Start by reading everything you can find online. Subscribe to blogs and become a member of forums that are based around you desire. Find a blog that will email their latest post to you so you are getting constant reminders. Read books about it and talk to like minded people. A word of warning about letting others know your intensions, most people are very negative and will end up holding you back but people that will give you support are worth their weight in gold. If you are really honest with yourself knowing who's who is not that hard. If your obsession is a new activity or skill practice, practice, practice. This is not an exhausted list by any means but if you try your hardest to accomplish something every day that gets you even the tiniest bit closer to the change you seek and create a full blown obsession you can change anything and do anything. Now go and obsess over something.
