The Process of Buying a Cheap Mattress

By | 1 Comments | Rating: 0 | |

If you want to buy a new cheap mattress then you will need to decide on which one is right for you. The best way to do this is to decide on the support, comfort level and size that you require for a good nights sleep. This is not always an easy thing but there is a right way and wrong way to go about. In this article, I will take you step-by-step through the process of deciding on these factors and buying the best mattress for you.

Step 1. Decide on the mattress that gives you the best support

The wrong type of support will mean that you will wake up stiff and sore. It all comes down to having your body lying in the correct position and making sure that your bed supports your body in doing so. However, everyone has a different body in terms of weight, height and particular weaknesses such as illnesses or a bad back. Therefore, what supports one person might be terrible for someone else. You need to test the mattress by lying down on it and having someone check the alignment of your neck and back.

Step 2. Choose between soft or hard - or something in between

Goldilocks did it the right way - she tested and tested until she found something just right. And just like Goldilocks you will need test a lot of mattresses until you find one that has the right comfort level for you. Doing this is pretty simple. Just lie back on the bed and see whether you like the comfort level or not. However, if you have a partner you will need him or her to also try out the bed. Otherwise, you'll have a bed that only one half of the couple will like. It is good idea to have both of you lie on the bed so you can feel how different it is when someone else is lying next to you.

Step 3. Decide on the size - twin, full, queen and king

How much space you need depends on your height, weight and the size of your partner. Twin and full sized mattresses are typically reserved for children or teenagers. However, often a cheap twin mattress is used as a spare bed. Queen and king sized mattresses are what most couples prefer but a cheap double mattress can suffice if the couple are small in statute.

As you can see, the process of choosing a new mattress isn't as hard as you may think. By making sure you look for a mattress that has the right support, comfort and size you will quickly and easily select the right one.
