Can we successfully pursue happiness?

I love the film Pursuit Of Happyness with Will Smith. One of my favourite scenes is when Chris Gardner says " It was right then that I started thinking about Thomas Jefferson on the Declaration of Independence and the part about our right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. And I remember thinking how did he know to put the pursuit part in there? That maybe happiness is something that we can only pursue and maybe we can actually never have it. No matter what. How did he know that? "

Happiness to me is what I try pursue every day of my life, because it's what matters the most.

When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up.

 I wrote down ‘happy’.

They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life.”

John Lennon

Happiness and the purpose of life

I firmly believe that the purpose of life is to be happy.

From when we are born, we want happiness and not suffering, therefore it is important to discover what can give us the greatest degree of happiness.

People spend a lifetime searching for happiness and looking for peace.

We chase material possessions, wealth, status, idles, addictions, religions, even other people, hoping to fill the emptiness with happiness.

The irony is the only place we ever needed to search was within.

Happiness Is Homemade

Pursuing your dreams can make you happy

What are you dreaming about?

Go make it happen. Go and do it, despite fear and doubts and the opinions of others.

Go and do it, because it makes you happy.

Are you dreaming about travelling and visiting new places?

Start planning for it, even if you don’t yet have the money.

Keep moving in that direction and you will find a way to achieve whatever you wish.

Is holding a grudge against someone keeping you from being real happy?

Decide to forgive them, today, right now.

Give yourself permission to be free from any anger and resentment.

Buddha Quote

Build the happy life you deserve

Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated - said Confucius 2500 years ago

Let’s make it simple again, by focusing on what matters and who matters.

Who do you love?

When you are with them, give them your full attention. Create the time and space to connect with them. Put love at the top of your list.

In the end, love is all that matters. Love for ourselves, for other people, for our work, for all the unique experiences of life.

Plan your life

“Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans.”
 John Lennon

  • How do you want to spend your days?

  • What do you enjoy doing?

  • What kind of contribution do you want to make to the world?

  • Arrange your life priorities.

  • Make room for positive changes.

  • Reallocate your free time, choose your hobbies, books and even your friends more careful than before.
