I have seen The Replacements for the nth time but I would say that this movie never fails to entertain me. Would you believe that my reaction is the same as the first time I saw the movie? Yes, I am like a child who never gets tired of watching this movie even if I have watched it a couple of times already.
I first watch this movie at my friend's house. We are looking for some movies to watch when we saw a CD of this film. I remember how my friend and I really enjoyed this film. We never stopped laughing especially with the scene where the coach is looking for his new replacement players.
I have seen many football movie but I think as of now The Replacements is still the best for me. Maybe because I have loved this story and got attached with the characters on it.
The Replacements Trailer
Call them out of shape

Call them out of control
Just don't call them...
Out of tune
Characters That I Have Love
Let Us Meet Them
All of the characters contributed to the movie. Each has its own story, each has its own problem, each has its own fears and each of them deserves a second chance. They all gave an impact to me.

My Favorite Quote in the Movie
There are many inspirational quotes in this movie. Here is one of them:
I wish I could say something classy and inspirational, but that just wouldn’t be our style. Pain heals. Chicks dig scars. Glory… lasts forever.
- Shane Falco (Keanu Reeves)
I will survive
One of my favorite scene. In this scene they are teasing Clifford because he is the only one hiding behind the jukebox during the fight with Martel and his friends. He said that he is not hiding and then he started to sing and dance. In the end they all dancing until McGinty comes.
The Last Part of the Movie
Whenever I see the ending of this movie, I always get emotional. I was smiling and at the same time I was trying to hold back my tears. It is another favorite quote of mine. In this part all of them are already bidding each other goodbyes, while flashing those scenes, Jimmy McGinty (Gene Hackman) is saying these words:
When the Washington Sentinels left the stadium that day, there was no tickertape parade, no endorsement deals for sneakers or soda pop, or breakfast cereal. Just a locker to be cleaned out, and a ride home to catch. But what they didn't know, was that their lives had been changed forever because they had been part of something great. And greatness, no matter how brief, stays with a man. Every athlete dreams of a second chance, these men lived it.
-Jimmy McGinty (Gene Hackman)
Scene from the last part of the movie - A very nice ending
I believe that all movies have their own moral lesson. In this movie there are two moral lessons. The first one is about giving second chances and the second one is how to fight your fears.
I believe that we all deserve a second chance. There are things that we have done in the past and given the chance, we want to correct it especially if that incident affects our daily life.
I believe that being able to fight your fears will set you free and by doing that you will be able to gain more confidence about yourself.
I will not hesitate to recommend this movie. The movie is fun to watch. You will not get bored. You will enjoy watching it. I know that there are sports movie that you have liked before but for me The Replacements will be one of the best.
It is my favorite movie of Keanu Reeves and like what I said with my title as of now no one can replace it as the Number One Football Movie.
