The Soaking Detoxification Process Is It Just an Ionic Foot Bath Scam?
Proponents of the ionic foot bath have claimed the process as beneficial to health. But many contradict the allegations of these advocates and just consider the detoxification process as false, a scam. Before you decide if the procedure is beneficial to you, first you must be familiar with what to expect or gain from using the product. The internet is your friend here and will allow you to do your own research and therefore come to your own conclusions.
The ionic foot bath has had a long period of popularity. It was a fad for some time when everyone seemed to want to go to a spa to undergo a detoxification process. Today, many still go to health centers for different types of spa treatments. And those who have bought their own unit during the height of the device's popularity still use the equipment.
What proponents say about the ionic foot bath
The ionic foot bath lets you sit and have your feet soaked in a tub of water with little amount of salt. Plugged to a 110 or 220 voltage power, the device emits electric charges into the water. Product endorsers allege that the molecules of water are transformed into positive and negative ions. The negatively charged ions will attach themselves to the toxic materials in your body. The wastes will then be pushed through the pores in the feet. When the 30 minute session is over, you are supposed to be revitalized, re-energized and relaxed. Believers in the process even claim that ailments are cured and parasites in the body are removed. The water in the tub changes color as you undergo the process; the color indicates which organ of your body is detoxified.
The controversy of the process from the point of view of opponents
There is no concrete evidence for the claims of the proponents so many scientists judge the ionic foot bath process as scam. The opponents point out that the color change in the foot detox spa has no relation whatever to toxins released by the body. This is just basic chemistry where the water turns brown because of the presence of iron. Doctors explain that the feet, or the pores and skin, have not this excretion capability. The liver is the body organ responsible for the task – never the skin pore!
The ionic detox practitioners recommend a change in lifestyle – diet and exercise among other things. This is responsible for the well-being of the user and not the use of the foot detox spa. However, these "non-believers" admit that there is no harm in engaging in the use of the ionic foot bath. After all, this is a relaxing experience, the session is pleasant and invigorating.
The foot bath is recommended but not for the health reasons being claimed by it proponents. In that context you should consider the procedure as an ionic foot bath scam. However, if taken as a form of relaxation – a process for loosening up the tired feet, then the session is a highly recommended.
