If you’re throwing your first get-together and you don’t know what types of beverages you should have on hand, here is a small list of what you might want to consider having at your little get together. Keep in mind that there are many other types of beverages that you can add to your menu—and that you don’t have to go with the most expensive choice either! You have loads of choices—and all that you have to do is check your local grocery store!

Tea

Tea is one of those types of beverages that you simply can’t ignore. It’s a staple almost all over the world and almost everyone will appreciate tea in some shape or form. It’s up to you whether or not you add tea-related snacks, but keep in mind that of the many types of beverages that you can choose from, this is a great one! You have many different flavors that you can choose from and you also have many different people that’ll enjoy the variety. It’s up to you, however. Stick to a plain flavor if you plan on making iced tea; it saves money and also makes it easier on you. If you plan on having hot tea, you can probably get away with a variety pack so everyone can have their own tea.

Juice

This is one of those types of beverages that can be a bit variable as to whom will drink it—but a little bit of juice goes a long way, especially when someone is trying to cut down on the soda. Don’t hesitate to offer it! You won’t regret it, especially if you are trying to cut down yourself! this is one of many great types of beverages that you should have on you!

Coffee

Coffee is absolutely delicious and it’s something that EVERYONE with plans to hold a get-together should have at least one pot of. Not only is it delicious, but it also comes with a great many varieties and ways to doctor it up, just like tea. This is one of those types of beverages that’ll be a hit with pretty much everyone who  ends up at your party! Not to mention that there are several different ways that you can make it—and decaffeinated for those who can’t handle types of beverages with too much caffeine.

Water

This is one of those types of beverages that you definitely can’t go wrong with! Everyone needs water, despite how they feel about it…and if someone has diabetes and wants to enjoy something slightly sweet, the water will help them to keep their sugar a little bit more balanced out, assuming that they’re careful with everything else that they eat. This is definitely one of the types of beverages that you should have with you.

Packets of Drinks

You can simply buy some of the small water-bottle packages if you want something that won’t get messy, but your guests can still enjoy. You can find a few different multi-packs to choose from, especially if you’re planning on having a large get-together. You can find a few small packs for a dollar each if you can’t find the large packs. These are the types of beverages that are great for keeping things neat and clean. There are many types of beverages that you can choose from in the packet form as well—you’re sure to find a great variety for your guests!

Milk

Milk is rarely served at get-togethers and is best saved for cool weather as opposed to warm weather, especially if you plan on playing games outside. However, this is one of the best types of beverages for the winter, since it’s so delicious and, let’s face it—who doesn’t love cold milk? You can also choose between regular milk and soymilk or rice milk if you have anyone who is allergic to the first types of beverages. It’s up to you whether or not this is included—but do keep in mind everyone’s limitations! This can also be a bit expensive, since a gallon of milk will go first!

Hot Chocolate

This is a great option when it comes to the types of beverages, especially when you’re looking for something yummy but able to keep everything warm. This, like milk, can be seasonal if you want it to be…but it can also be a bit of a treat during the summer, if it’s cool enough inside. It’s up to the person who’s throwing the party and the guests what they want to drink. You can also have a lot of fun with these types of beverages, since they can also be dressed up! Keep in mind there are several ways to make hot chocolate and that it’s your choice as to what you want to serve.

Liquor or Beer or Other Spirits

These types of beverages are best saved for adult parties as opposed to those with children. It’s generally a good idea to wait until after the kids have gone to bed or you have a baby sitter in case they are included. The reason is that, frankly, not many parents are comfortable with small children seeing them drinking and others are concerned about whether or not their child will see momma or papa drinking something and pick it up and drink it themselves. Needless to say, it’s a pretty legitimate concern. There are a wide variety of beverages that you can choose from as far as this type is concerned—make a careful, informed decision based on how much time everyone has to sober up and whether or not you plan on having overnight guests. This is one of many types of beverages to consider, however.

Finally

This is just a quick list of many different types of beverages that you can choose from if you decide to throw a party or have another type of get together. It’s up to you what types of beverages you have—but make sure to think it over carefully before you head to the grocery store.
