The Wedding Party - Some Essentials

By | 0 Comments | Rating: 0 | |

The wedding day is a happy occasion. It is the day when a man and a woman becomes "one flesh" as a married couple. To celebrate this holy matrimony, a wedding party is held. The timing of this party is not tied to the wedding date itself. You can hold one before, on the day of the wedding and after the wedding. The party on the day of the wedding or what is normally called the reception could be considered a must but the party before and after the wedding is up to the couple to decide. The couple can have them if they want to or if someone else does then the better. Whatever the case is, there are essentials to this party that must be considered.

Like any other successful event, wedding party planning should be done for the best results. If you want your party to be successful and well organized, then you or the one holding the party for you should plan the event well. There is no excuse to not planning as not doing so can mean extra unwanted expenses. It could also mean chaos during the event itself because things were not planned beforehand. You would not want this to happen as the party is supposed to be a happy event not a sad and distasteful one.

To help organize the event, the organizer (be it the couple or their friend) should send out wedding party invitations. This is to help avoid "accidental gatecrashers". If you do not send out invites, some of your acquaintances might assume that everyone is invited and will thus attend the party even if they are not supposed to be there. These invitations also serve as a sign that the couple is serious in their decision to get married and help create an atmosphere of formality even before the wedding day.

The next item is optional. You can have them but they are not mandatory. Yes, wedding party favors are not required. These are simply small gifts that you give out to your guests during the party as a token of gratitude for them being at your party. Although they are not required, it is always a good idea to have them as giveaways. That way, your guests feel good even after the party because you remembered to thank them for their presence.

Those are the essentials of a wedding party. To summarize, the organizer should plan for the said event to have everything in order. The organizer should also send out formal invitations to the guest to help control the number of people attending and last but not the least, favors should be given to the guests before they leave to show appreciation of their being there.
