The Yacht and Beach Club Resorts at Walt Disney World

Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts, located in Orlando, Florida, is a 1,200 plus room deluxe resort at Walt Disney World that are connected, and is ideally situated between the Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios theme parks on the 25 acre Crescent Lake.

Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resort are themed after the look and feel of Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket, offering guests a chance to harken back to the olden days of the East Coast seaside homes and hotels typically found in the Northeastern part of the United States at the turn of the 20th century and usually reserved for the prominent and wealthy. Although you do not have to be prominent, nor do you have to be wealthy to stay at these top notch resorts.

ROOMS

The Yacht Club Resort consists of over 630 rooms, while the Beach Club Resort consists of nearly 570 rooms. Each room in the Yacht Club Resort is lavishly appointed in a nautical theming decor, displaying color tones that make you feel as if you are staying on a grand ship rather than staying in a luxurious hotel. Each room in the Beach Club Resort is lavishly appointed with a New England style theme with color tones that exemplify seaside cottages. All rooms have coffee makers, televisions with satellite t.v., hair dryers, available internet access (for a fee), iron and ironing board, in-room wall safe, plenty of towels, as well as decks or patios.


AMENITIES

The resorts are within walking distance to both the Epcot theme park and Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park, and guests can choose to take a short boat ride from the signature lighthouse in front of the Yacht Club Resort to the Disney Hollywood Studios theme park, or if you prefer not to walk to Epcot, or just want to take a nice leisurely boat ride, the boat also makes a stop at Epcot where guests can enter the park through the International Gateway ( Epcot is the only theme park at Walt Disney World with 2 entrances to the park). You can also walk, or take the leisurely boat ride to Disney's Boardwalk and view the spectacular resort and all that Boardwalk has to offer, from dining and shopping, to the entertainment and nightlife, and guests can also take a short boat ride across Crescent Lake to the Swan and Dolphin Resorts (not Disney owned, and the only non Disney owned hotels located within Walt Disney World).

The resort includes the 3 acre Stormalong Bay, with a sand bottom pool, regular pool, a large sand kiddie pool, a fast and winding water slide that also includes a small lazy river with a sand bottom, 2 hot tubs, plenty of lounge area to relax and sunbathe in, and snack shops, which include Hurricane Hanna's, an all American fast food cuisine, as well as specialty drinks. There are several life guards on duty, as well as plenty of towels. The Stormalong Bay pool is only available to guests staying at either the Yacht Club Resort or the Beach Club Resort, as well as the Disney Vacation Club, the Beach Club Villas at the Beach Club Resort.

All guests are just a short stroll away from the white sand beach of Crescent Lake with plenty of lounge chairs to relax on, or just take a nice walk with your loved one or family. Just about every night on the beach there is a night time movie (Movie under the Stars) that plays Disney/Pixar animated films everyone will surely enjoy.

There is also plenty of activities for adults and children to do together or alone, including an arcade room, volleyball, Sandcastle Club activity center located in the attached Beach Club Resort area (for 4-12 year olds to play in that is supervised and open from 4:30-Midnight daily, great for adults wanting a night on the town alone), tennis and raquetball, fishing, a playground, a jogging trail, rental watercraft that can be used in Crescent Lake, and bike rentals. Of course there is room service, a fitness center, beauty salon, business center, laundry facilities, and plenty of accommodations for individuals with disabilities.

DINING

For those looking to spend some time dining at the hotel, there is plenty of dining options to choose from, such as Cape May Cafe, which offers a casual dining experience with character dining during breakfast hours, as well as a buffett for breakfast and dinner, with plenty of seafood and other delicious foods to choose from. The Beaches and Cream Soda shop offers a casual dining experience with all American food, including several choices of ice cream. The Captain's Grille is also another casual dining restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with a breakfast only buffet. The premier Yachtsmans Steakhouse that serves dinner only is more of a fairly formal dining experience with plenty of steak entrees, among other dishes, that offer some of the best food in all of the Walt Disney World Resort.

CONFERENCE and MEETING CENTER

For companies and organizations looking for a great place to hold a conference or meeting there is a 73,000 plus square feet of meeting space that is available, as well as it can be used to hold wedding receptions, or just about anything else, from graduations to birthday parties to conventions, with plenty of lighting and seating, as well as 2 ballrooms. The convention center is accessible from the Yacht Club Resort by passing through a covered walkway, or guests can enter from the parking lot.

With plenty of activities, dining and shopping, along with a great location, Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts are the perfect choice for those wanting all that Walt Disney World has to offer. The resort is also a short bus ride (the bus stop is located in the front of the resorts) to Downtown Disney, as well as the other theme parks. If you are a season pass holder or an all day park ticket holder with the park hopper passs option, then you can walk through Epcot and then board the famous monorail with stops at the Disney Transportation and Ticket Center, or directly to the Magic Kingdom theme park.

All Disney's Deluxe Resorts offer the ultimate in luxury hotel accommodations at Walt Disney World, that gives guests close proximity to any of the four theme parks, from lavishly appointed rooms, premier dining and shopping, as well as other activities, from golfing to tennis, and just about everything else that you can think of. So when you are thinking of visiting Walt Disney World, you might want to consider staying at one of the deluxe resorts for the a vacation that you will want to always remember. Although the prices can be a little high, you do get what you pay for during your stay, the entire Walt Disney World experience.
