Motorola's created some great phones in 2011, and will continue to do so in 2012. From a new RAZR to Droids to ATRIX’s, Motorola is creating some of the best new phones for 2012. In this article we are going to take a look at the best new Motorola phones for 2012.
Motorola's phones, like those from other manufacturers, will be upgraded by moving to dual or quad core processors and running the latest versions of Android and Windows phone. 2012 will be a great year for new handsets as high levels of competition should bring the prices down, giving consumers more bang for their buck.
Many others would have the original Motorola's RAZR; it defined the early 2000 with its slim profile and excellent specs for the time. The latest version follows the same slim style with its profile being only 7.1 mm, making it far thinner than its iPhone brethren.
There are several variants of this phone but most of them include a dual core processor, 1 GB of RAM, version 2.3 of Android, an eight megapixel camera and high-quality 1080 p video recording. These are impressive specifications but already a version that has been launched in China comes with a 13 megapixel camera and 4.5 inch 720 p screen, so expect more advanced variants of the Motorola's RAZR to be released throughout 2012. These specs alone make it a strong contender for the best new Motorola phone for 2012.
The XT615 is currently only available in China and Taiwan, and is slightly thicker than the RAZR at 9.8 mm. It comes with an 800 MHz processor quad band GSM and only a $360 pricetag. This means that it is highly like to be a pay-as-you-go or prepay phone, and would offer quite good value as it offers an eight megapixel camera and Android. There is much competition at this level, so I would expect a potential price drop if it came to the United States or Europe later on in the year. It has lower specifications than some phones but it could be a brilliant Motorola phone in 2012 at the midrange price point.
Motorola ATRIX 2
This latest version of the ATRIX phone offers a dual core processor along with the amazing feature of laptop and desktop computer docks. The phone itself has a 4 inch display, 8 GB of storage, HSDPA and an eight megapixel camera. The size of this device isn't huge as is only slightly bigger than an iPhone 4S. This device is designed for multiple uses to replace your netbook with an environment called Webtop, although whether you'll feel its good enough for that purpose will take some hands-on time in the shop.
An updated version of this, potentially with a quad core processor, and additional RAM would contend for the best new Motorola's phone for 2012 and perhaps even one of the best all-round smart phones due to its dock functionality.
