Henna paste is usually applied on the skin using a plastic cone. The painted area is then wrapped with plastic to lock in body heat in creating a more intense color on the skin. The wrap should maintain from three to six hours or sometimes overnight and then removed. When first removed the henna design is pale to dark orange in color and gradually darkens through oxidation process over the course of 36 to 72 hours. The final color is reddish brown and can last anywhere from one to three weeks depending on the quality and type of henna.

It is a strong and a good one alternative of hair dyes available in market which contains chemicals that actually damaged hair if think about long run results. One should be careful in selecting henna, must avoid packed or branded henna because it also contain chemicals to enhance color quality.
