Everyone knows these days that we are heading in the course which is going to end up with the ruination of our environment. Global warming is not an illusion. Most of our electricity is produced by burning fossil fuels. And, it is burning these fossil fuels which must be eliminated from our environment.

Most of the power that heats us, cools us down, and drives us from A to B comes from burning fossil fuels. Eventually, these fossil fuels are going to run out. There is only so much cold that we can take from the ground, there's only so much oil that we can pump from the earth. Eventually there is going to be nothing left. But there are plenty of ways of creating power which do not expend our natural resources. One of the greatest is the use of solar power.

So what is the cost of solar panels?

In order to discover the cost of solar panels, first must find out what our energy consumption is. Each household consumes power at a different rate. The level of power that you are consuming will depend on the amount of people that live in your house, obviously the more people that live in your house the more your consumption is going to be. The power that you are using will also depend on the number of appliances that you have. It will also depend on the energy rating of these appliances. The more energy that is used by these appliances, the more energy than you will need to manufacture from your solar panels. Each solar panel can only produce a maximum amount of Watts per day. So once you have the figure for the level of power that you need, it's very easy to figure out how many solar panels that you want.

Now, to figure out the cost of your solar panels and get as close to free home power as you can, you divide the cost of the solar panel by 30 years. This will give you the cost of your solar panels per year of usage. Divide this figure again by 12 and you will have the monthly cost of your solar panel purchase. If you can run your house on solar panels alone, firstly you must be living in a very sunny area, secondly, you need some form of storage facility, for example batteries. The purchase price of these batteries must be added to the cost of your whole solar heating system. There is such a thing as free home power. Once you have paid for your solar panels you will never have to pay for electricity again.
