The foot detox pad - a method of detoxification?
There are numerous methods of detoxification that are available today. There seems to be a mad craze about detoxing the body from the multitude of poisonous chemicals that we are open to every day of our lives. I know that there are toxic chemicals in our food, in the air that we breathe, and in the general environment but do we really need to go through detoxification? What happens if we don't bother ourselves with that kind of thing?
I can really understand why most people would want to consume fewer toxins. People are switching to organically produced foods and the more people that make the change the quicker the price will come down because more farmers will become involved in organic food production. And, there are definitely more toxins floating around in the atmosphere now than there have ever been in the past. This is because we are producing far more a waste than ever before and a lot of this waste is in the form of gases and particles which we are inhaling as a daily occurrence.
So, the question does a detox foot pad work? There is an awful lot of speculation about this, mostly from the detractors. Many people believe that this is just a scam, and the whole foot detox alternative therapy sector is nothing more than a rip-off. I can very plainly see why. The whole basis behind trying to get people to believe that foot detox pads or detox foot spa actually work is by presenting the client/customer/patient with visual proof in the form of discoloration. After wearing the detox foot patches overnight the patch will have changed color from pure white into a dark nasty color. This is exactly the same as the water in any detox foot spa. Critics say that this is because of the ingredients that are used by manufacturers in both of these products. Proponents will say that this is actual physical and visible proof that the products are working.
I have used a foot detox patch and I did feel better after using it. Whether or not this was a psychosomatic effect I do not know. I also feel much more relaxed and stress-free after a normal foot bath, or a foot massage, and I have had reflexology sessions which have left me feeling fantastic. So, I know that messing around with my feet is going to make me feel really good. The jury is still out regarding the detoxification elements and until there is definite proof either way I don't think I will be buying foot detox patches again. I hope I am wrong because if the foot detox pad does the job of detoxification then it does so in such as simple and effortless method of eliminating toxins.
