1. Localization translators

When I say localization I mean the complete adaption of a product by different people with a different language and culture. In this case, the translator should have a high degree of knowledge on the language and culture of the local user of the new adopted product. This way the localization translator would be able to make the new market group adapt to the product as if it was manufactured where it is being sold. This helps create a bigger global market for countries dealing with manufacturing.

2. Specialized business translator

These translators are involved in a number of businesses such as finance, marketing, and economics. The translator or interpreter should have enough knowledge on his line of the business, its markets and current events surrounding that line of business. For example if the translator in the financial markets, he or she should be able to translate documents such as financial statements and regulatory reports into the target language.

3. Medical interpreters and translators

These interpreters help in enhancing communication between patients and hospital management. The medical translators on the other hand, help translate patients' journals and also any other hospital information brochures to patients in their preferred language. The medical translators and interpreters should have unusually high knowledge of medical and conversational terms in all languages. They should also know the cultural aspects that relate to how the patients receive information from the hospital management.

4. Conference interpreters

Interpreters work in international forums such as World Bank and WTO, the interpreters come from all over the world, and this is because these forums are set out to reach as many countries in the world as possible. These conference interpreters often have mediators in business that operate in foreign countries. You will also notice that these conference interpreters have the ability to interpret more than one language for example, they can translate Spanish to French then to English.

5. Political interpreters

This are interpreters that translate different languages in political set ups made by politicians of different countries. These interpreters have to have a vast knowledge on politics of different countries and the current trends.

The interpreters and translators help a lot in cross cultural communication in different business areas by converting written or verbal language to a target language.
