There Are No Shortcuts to Burning Abdominal Fat

By | 0 Comments | Rating: 0 | |

Many people want to know how to go about burning abdominal fat. Abdominal fat can be difficult to get rid of and many people want to specifically lose fat in that region. Losing belly fat is important for not just looking good but also important for your health. But there is no magic product or diet that will suddenly cause your abdominal fat to disappear and a six pack of abs to appear. It will take quite a bit of work.

Many people are overweight but it is actually your fat distribution which can affect your health. Individuals who carry more fat around their abdomen and are defined as having apple shaped bodies have a higher risk of developing diabetes or heart disease than those who are classified as pear shaped and carry their fat around their hips and thighs.

There is more than one kind of fat around the abdomen, as there is deep layer fat called visceral fat and fat that is just under the skin called subcutaneous fat. It is the subcutaneous that moves and wiggles when you move and it is this fat that individuals want to get rid of.

To get rid of abdomen fat you need to do the right combination of ab exercises as well as following a good diet. While there is no special diet to follow, there is a special exercise combination that is needed to lose belly fat. To lose fat you need to combine full body aerobic exercise with weight training. You also need to closely monitor your calorie intake as most people underestimate how much they eat and then wonder why they are not losing weight.

It is recommended that you exercise five to six times a week for at least 30 minutes. Just doing aerobic exercise will not provide you with any results as you need to use full body cardiovascular exercise and resistance training. Many people think that all you need to do is sit ups or crunches but this does not make you lose fat. Sit ups will tone your stomach muscles but not help you lose fat.

Weight training is important because the more muscle you have then the more abdominal fat you can burn. The food you eat is also important. The body will first burn carbohydrates for energy and then it will burn fat. So in order to burn more fat you want to limit your carbohydrate intake so your body will switch to burning fat faster. It is also important that you accurately monitor your calorie intake.
