People often hear others boast about how they got thigh liposuction at a very low price and become excited at the prospect of having the procedure themselves. However, once they inquire at the clinic, they find out that thigh liposuction cost differs from person to person. This procedure is not like a tooth extraction or a suture in the sense that the cost differs depending on many factors.

The biggest thigh liposuction cost factor is of course, is the amount of body fat in a person. Some people think that the more a person weighs, the more they have to pay. This is not necessarily true as some people are heavier because of muscle mass instead of fat. Before you undergo the procedure, doctors will assess how good a candidate you are for the procedure, and in the process, measure your body fat as well. A person with less than 15 pounds of fat is a good candidate, and won't have to pay much compared to a person with more than 15 pounds of fat.

The next consideration is the location, namely the thighs. Contrary to what people believe, just because a thigh is relatively smaller than the stomach doesn't mean it's cheaper. In fact thigh liposuction costs more than an abdominal liposuction, because the abdomen contains mostly fat while the thigh has lots of nerves and blood vessels to navigate through. Also liposuction on the outer thigh is cheaper than liposuction on the inner thigh. If it requires additional treatment of adjacent areas then you will also be billed for the additional liposuction on legs procedure.

Another consideration is the experience and skill of the surgeon. Surgeons who've done a lot of liposuction procedures, received lots of positive feedback and may have had one popular client or two will definitely charge more than someone who is new to the field. Though it might be difficult to trust someone who is inexperienced, they're still worth a look as long as they are legit. Don't try to search for the lowest price, as this could leave you vulnerable to scams and to unlicensed practitioners.

Your geographical location would also influence how much you would have to pay for your liposuction procedure as different states have varying prices. Some people even go to other countries just so they could save money on their liposuction procedure. Again, this practice is okay, as long as you go to someone who is legitimate and certified. Since this is an operation, a stay at the hospital is in place, so you may want to choose a hospital whose fees are well within your budget.
