One of the most exciting outdoor events during the Christmas season in London is the Winter Wonderland at Hyde Park. From the twenty-five foot Christmas tree situated in the awesome Great Hall where you can indulge in a medieval christmas banquet with a roaring fire, to the beautiful festively decorated State Rooms. Visit A Christmas Market
A dark, chilly evening, all wrapped up, a mug of mulled wine in one hand and a bag of roasted chestnuts in the other. The sound of a choir singing carols and the smell of a hog roast in the air, all as you peruse the gift stalls and enjoy the atmosphere of a good old Christmas market. They are put on all around the UK so there will be many to choose from and It wont be hard to find a good one as most towns and cities are usually keen to put on one to be proud of.
Get back to nature with an enchanted Christmas at Westonbirt Arboretum in Gloucestershire, UK. Boasting a spectacular illuminated one mile trail through the towering forest and plenty of family fun with craft activities and gifts and plenty of other things to do. Be there for the grand switching on of the lights and meet Santa in his traditional green costume along with real life reindeer.
Center Parcs have 4 beautiful villages spread across the UK and during December all transform into their very own Winter Wonderland in their unique forest settings. With their sparkling lights, Santa's Workshop, live reindeer, pantomime and topped off with a spectacular fireworks extravaganza. Those staying for a few days will get to cosy up in the night in their own woodland lodge or treehouse, things couldn't be better.
