New York is definitely one of the most talked about city in the world. The city offers great sites to visit and has thousands of things that you can do and see. Watching the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden is a must, also taking an elevator up the Empire State Building is also a great experience. Take a stroll down to Central Park

Probably the most famous park in the United States, Central Park has hundreds of activities and events that tourists can enjoy for free. You can jog, bike, feed the ducks, or even just watch people! You would definitely won’t run out of things to do while in this park.

Take a step back in time at the Fashion Institute of Technology Museum

You don’t have to wait for the Fashion Week just to see beautiful clothes and accessories. In the museum of the Fashion Institute of Technology, students showcase their collections on a regular basis. The museum has galleries of garments and clothing dating from the 18th century to the present.

Take the ferry to Governor's Island

Going to Governor’s Island via ferry is free, so everyone can experience the beautiful scenery of the island. It just recently become public, and now offers tourists to go mini-golfing, biking, hiking, and picnicking with the family.

See the Statue of Liberty via Staten Island Ferry

If you want to see the Statue of Liberty, you don’t have to pay for ferry tours just to be able to do it. Staten Island Ferry offers free rides for commuters from Staten Island to Manhattan (or vice versa), where you can view the statue along the way. It is surely a great way to see the Statue of Liberty up close.

Be gold struck at the Federal Reserve Bank

If you want to see the exhibits of counterfeit currencies and expensive coin collections, you definitely have to drop by the New York’s Federal Reserve Bank branch. Here, you can see the bank’s high- security vaults. Be amazed to know that there’s 10,000 tons of gold stored somewhere inside.

Burn some calories and go on Walking Tours

There are a lot of historians that offer free walking tours around New York City. Some will even take you to the “whispering gallery” of the Grand Central Terminal at the beautiful Chrysler Building. It is surely an experience you will enjoy. Just make sure you wear comfy shoes you will be walking.... alot!

Are you a book worm? Go to New York Public Library

The New York Public Library is one of the most famous libraries in the world, having copies of the original Declaration of Independence and Gutenberg Bible. There are free tours offered at around 11am to 2pm, so make sure to catch them. Don’t miss the chance to see the gallery of more than 400,000 old maps.
