Miami, FL is a city known for its wild nights. Lots of celebrities and well known people have gone there to party. But Miami isn't just about partying. In fact, there are many other things you can do around Miami. So during the day time, you can try out some different activities to get a feel of the real Miami.

To the west of Miami, there is the Everglades National Park. It's the third largest national park in the U.S. and it gets millions of visitors each year. The park was created to protect the wetlands of south Florida. In this park you will see a wide variety of animals including crocodiles and alligators. This is one of the few places in the world where alligators and crocodiles cohabit. From the entrance in Florida City, you will drive on a two lane highway through the park until it reaches the southern tip of Florida which is Flamingo. Along this road you can stop at several trails. Some of the popular trails include the Anhinga Trail and the Gumbo Limbo Trail. Both of these trails are near the Royal Palm Visitor Center.

Another national park that is nearby Miami is the Key Biscayne National Park. This park is not as well known but it is still fun nonetheless. Here at this park you can rent a canoe or take a trip on a glass bottom boat. The boat will take you to some islands including Elliot Key. If you'd like, you can go on a snorkeling trip too. You will see a lot of multi colored fish and vegetation. You'll also spot a lot of mangroves.

If you like history and old homes, then don't forget to visit Vizcaya. This luxurious home was owned by John Deering and was designed in the Mediterranean Revival architectural style. The home includes a beautiful garden where you can walk around and take pictures.

Finally, take a tour of the homes of the rich and famous. From Bayside Marketplace you can take a boat tour which takes you to Star Island, Brickell Key, and the Venetian Islands. This boat tour is a great way to relax and take in the ocean breeze while seeing some beautiful homes.
