If you manage a small team, you may be aware of the problem of uncooperative teammates. A simple fix to this is team building; getting your group together and playing games to break the ice and get to better understand one another. Here are a few easy ways to get the team together and build trust and friendship:

team bowling1. Social Games - take them bowling, even though not everyone is a great bowler, it's quite easy to bring people together over a few games of bowling. Golf (even for non-golfers) can be a fun and easy way of breaking the tension of an office bound group. Your main job as the leader is to organize, and get everyone excited about it!

field trip2. Field Trips / Outings - There's almost nothing better than a company outing on company time. If you can afford to give your team members a break from the daily grind. Taking your team for coffee/breakfast/lunch is also a great way of keeping conversation and getting to know your team better. There is a lot of free activities to do, for example, there are a ton of free Frisbee Golf courses in my city.

3. Outsourcing - Hiring a team building consultant is as easy as you can get. You will be involved through the whole process, on level-ground as your team. This is a great way to see from their eye level, and it shows that you have the ability to follow the same instructions and work on their level at the same time. If you are not able to generate your own consistent team building exercises, hiring a consultant may be the best way to go.
