Three Ways to Create Passive Income Online Without a Website

By Edited Jun 11, 2016 0 1

It used to be that if you wanted to make money online with affiliate programs, you had buy a .com name, design and code a website, and then drive traffic to your website with the hopes of earning affiliate commissions. That's a lot of work for most people, and sometimes all of that work doesn't always really pay off. In fact, you could put hours of work into building a website, and then end up making no money at all. However, did you know that you can now create a steady stream of passive income online, without having to create and maintain a website?

Websites such as YouTube, Twitter, and InfoBarrel, all rely on their users to create content. With a little creativity, you can utilize the privilege of creating content for these websites to help fatten your wallet! Here are three ways that you can make money online without having to build your own website:

1. Create Product Review Videos for YouTube
Before buying a product online, I usually go to YouTube to look at people's reviews of the product to make sure I'm not buying a piece of junk. Most other online shoppers do the same thing. And you can use this to your advantage by making product review videos, and then including affiliate links to the products you're reviewing. The possibilities for product review videos are endless. However, I think the more unique the product is, the more money you'll make. Electronic cigarettes, P90x or any other type of fitness program, electronics, video games, music, movies, steam cleaners, vacuums, and coin counters are just a few ideas of products that you could make review videos for. Once your videos are up and running, they'll continuously provide you with a source of passive income for years.

2. Recommend Products and Services to Your Twitter Followers
Twitter is all the rage now and days. It's primary purpose is to allow people to socialize and share links in short little blurbs limited to 180 characters. Businesses use Twitter to share coupons and new products or specials with customers. Celebrities use Twitter to talk about new movies they're going to be in, or shows that they're going to be on. If you have a Twitter account, you can use it to make money by recommending products or services to your followers and posting an affiliate link to that product or service. For example, say you just bought a new printer from Amazon.com, and it's the best printer you've ever had. You could post something like "Just bought this new printer. Best printer ever!", and then include your amazon affiliate link right after. Your twitter followers will click on the link, and might even make a purchase, resulting in an affiliate commission for you.

3. Write Informative Articles for Various Websites
Websites such as Infobarrel.com, eHow.com, Squidoo.com, all rely on their users to write content for them. In return, these websites give it's writers a percentage of advertising revenue. Some of them allow writers to include affiliate links and Google Adsense in their articles too. You can pretty much write about any topic your heart desires as well. Chose a topic that interests you, write a few articles and post them, and you've just created another source of passive income online. People will find your articles from search engines, and then click on your Adsense ads or your affiliate links.

So there you have it, three ways that you can create passive income online without having to design, code, and maintain your own website.
