Many people practice yoga to learn ways of calming the mind, body and soul. There a few ways of conditioning the body without having to do high impact exercise schedules. Both Pilates and yoga teach the body to be strong, slender, and flexible. Many exercise studios and health stores offer instruction in yoga. Whether it is books, classes or DVDs, they are in abundance. Some of the best yoga DVDs can be found on the internet and at your local bookstores.

Being that there are so many choices, you should educate yourself as to which type of yoga you would like to try. The use of yoga DVDs can save you money and time. There are many titles and instructors to choose from, all bringing a little something different to the DVD. The following list is just a few of the many that are offered. 2. One of the most unique and beneficial DVDs is called A.M. and P.M. for beginners. This is a set of two DVDs, one to do in the morning, the other for the evening. The morning version helps center your energy so you will feel strong throughout the day. The other DVD is designed to help you clear the negative and relieve stress at the end of a busy day.

3. Another best seller is Power Yoga: Total Body Workout. This DVD is by Rodney Yee, an instructor of yoga for over twenty years. This DVD has some of the most beautiful scenery of any of the yoga DVDs. It was recorded in Hawaii and just looking at the gorgeous landscape is enough to relax you!

These top selling DVDs can be found online and in some DVD and book stores. Although there are different types and levels of yoga, they are all directed towards teaching meditation and relaxation. The movements performed in yoga build muscle while increasing flexibility.

It is suggested that before starting any new exercise schedule, you check with your doctor. There are many exercise studios that offer instruction in yoga exercises to help you make the proper movements and breathing techniques. With proper instruction, yoga can be learned by just about anyone.
