I just visited Singapore last month for vacation and I really think Singapore is one of the countries that I consider tourist-friendly. All of the street signs are in English and a lot of people speak in audible English. The transportation is easy to access and there are malls everywhere. Also Singapore has a lot of tourist spots that you can enjoy while you are there. It is also in Singapore where you have access to many Asian food since it is a home of various culture.
When I came back to my country from vacation, I found that some of my friends also want to visit Singapore and they have been asking me how to best maximize their vacation when they go to Singapore. I usually give them few tips on what to do to maximize not only their stay as well as their budget. So I thought of putting into one article places that you must visit when you come to Singapore. So here it is:
1. Sentosa City. Think of Sentosa as one island created for entertainment and recreation.
There are many way to reach Sentosa City: by foot, by MRT, by Sentosa Express, by cable car, by bus, or by taxi. I suggest you go by Sentosa Express. All you need to do is to look for Vivo City Shopping Mall and then go to the top floor and find the ticketing station then take the Sentosa Express. When you reach Sentosa City, I recommend you try riding the Luge or jump from a five story building or take a stroll in a wide beach area or take the tram to tour the all the stations inside the island.
If there is anything I would not want you to miss, it would be watching the laser show called Songs of the Sea. Songs of the Sea is perhaps one ofthe amazing shows that I've watched in my life, it is truly amazing.
2. Marina Bay. When you got to Marina Bay, you will see why I consider this as one of the three places you need to visit in Singapore. Not only is it one of the homes of the five official merlions in Singapore, it is one of the places of engineering wonder of Singapore.
There you have access to good food, coffee shops, and free music if you go to Esplanade (across Marina Bay) in the evening.
3. Hawker Center. Since Singapore is the home of various races, you get to enjoy different types of food from different races. The Hawker Centers will give you a taste of these food at a very cheap price. When I went to Hawkers Center, I had a taste of Middle Eastern foods as well as Chinese and Indian food. So where can you find Hawkers Center? Almost every mall or train station has Hawkers Center beside it so you will not have trouble finding it.
If you are worried about the quality of food, I can assure you that I did not have stomach problems after eating in the Hawkers Center.
So there you have it, three places that you need to visit when you come to Singapore for vacation.
