Tips For Designing A Baby Girl Nursery

By | Jan 24, 2011 | 0 Comments | Rating: 0

If you have just found out you are having a baby girl and it is your first child you may be getting excited about decorating a beautiful baby girl nursery. If money is tight, it is recommended that you decorate the room so it will last through her first five years or so. It is not very expensive to change the color of the room by repaint once in a while as they grow, but purchasing new furniture every few years can get pretty costly Many cribs easily convert into a toddler bed and then into a day bed for when she goes off to kindergarten or first grade. Usually after the age of seven or eight, it is time to think about redoing her bedroom to fit with her personal taste and favorite things.

Not to get ahead of ourselves here, there are some color schemes for the walls you can use that will easily blend in with most comforter sets and baby girl nursery furniture. If you go with neutral colors such as pastels, pinks, tans, and browns, you will not have to repaint the walls every year. You will be able to change the wall hangings or comforters on the bed, which is usually pretty inexpensive compared to painting the whole room. The first wall hangings will likely consist of small baby animals such as teddy bears, kittens, and puppies.

As she grows, the baby girl nursery will become the bedroom of a toddler then a preschooler. When it is time to change the bedroom furniture because she has outgrown it you may want to consider selling it to another expectant mother to earn some cash to pay toward the new bedroom furniture. She will begin to discover favorite characters that are in the movies she enjoys watching all the time or cartoons she loves. Most every little girl fantasizes about being a princess at some point in her childhood and loves having a princess bedroom to sleep in and dream of princesses and fairy dust.
