Tips For Purchasing Shoe Cabinets

By | Jan 24, 2011 | 0 Comments | Rating: 0

Most women have many different pairs of shoes lying around on their closet floor, under their bed and wherever else they take them off. Then some women are just shoe junkies and are always shopping for and buying more shoes that are new. There are many different types of shoe cabinets to choose from to help organize your shoes and unclutter the rest of the house. Most of these cabinets are made of wooden or plastic shelving with wooden dowels to hang the shoes from. This form of organizing your shoes can be very expensive depending on the quality of the wood they are made fromca

There are other methods of storing this overage of shoes lying around the house. One type of storage is also made of wood and it is designed with little cubby type spaces or wholes where the shoes can be placed in the own little room. This type of storage is a great way to organize your daily work and casual shoes. For the stilettos or more delicately made shoes, you may want to go with a type of shoetree. This is normally a wooden rack with wooden dowels space apart in order to be able to hand high heels up and apart from one another to keep them looking new.

More traditional shoe cabinets are also made of wood, and can also be made from aluminum or plastic. Pine, cherry or oak are the more popular types of wood used. The beauty of the wood fits in well with most bedroom or dressing room décor. These type of cabinets are normally about three feet high and two or more inches deep. They may require a lot of space so be sure the space is available before making a final purpose. The plastic shoe cabinets can be made just like a shoebox with a lid. The shoes will stay dry and dust free when stored in this type of shoe storage.
