Tips for Buying a Water Bottle Rack

By | Sep 20, 2010 | 1 Comments | Rating: 0

Bottled water coolers are a great way to provide clean and refreshing drinking water. The biggest issue with using a bottled water cooler is that you have to have several replacement water bottles on hand and storing the extra 5 gallon water bottles can be a hassle. Many people choose to store these water bottles out of sight (such as the basement or garage) but that presents its own problems with having to fetch the spare bottles. For this reason, many people opt to buy a water cooler bottle rack to store their spare water cooler bottles. If you're considering buying a water bottle rack, below are several tips on what to look for and how you can get the right one for you.

When buying a water bottle rack there are several different factors that will weigh in on your decision. Each person has their own preferences which is why we'll discuss each of the factors and provide some suggestions.

Size. The whole point of using a water bottle rack is to take advantage of the fact that the water bottles can be stored easily and take up less space. This allows you to store the water bottles on the rack close by. The size of water bottle rack will depend on several things. Obviously, the first thing is where you plan on storing the rack and how much space is there. But then you have the number of water bottles that you want to store. So if you need a 3 bottle water bottle rack or a 6 bottle rack, the number of spare bottles you want to store may determine what size water bottle rack you get. Keep in mind you don't have to store all the bottles there.

Appearance. One of the big draws with purchasing a water bottle rack is that it makes things look much neater and organized; somehow having the bottle stacked in a symmetrical fashion looks better than the same bottles strewn about next to the water cooler. One of the more popular metal water bottle racks is the chrome water bottle rack that is shiny and polished and looks like a piece of furniture instead of a large piece of plastic. Or if you have stainless steel appliances, a stainless steel water bottle rack would match the décor perfectly.

Durability. It's often tempting to be frugal and buy cheap water bottle racks instead going for the more expensive models. This may be ok if you don't plan on using a lot of water bottles for a very long time, but if you go through a lot of water bottles and are constantly loading and unloading the bottles onto the rack, you're going to want something a little more solid.
