Tips for Using Household Cleaning Supplies

By | 2 Comments | Rating: 0 | |

Buying household cleaning supplies should not be a crazy experience. I know how confusing it might become with all the choices that you have. This is something that you and a little focus can deal with. A lot of products promise to make your house sparkling clean with just a spray and a wipe, and you are in big trouble if you believe any of this.

Cleaning a house takes a lot of effort, which is why you need to have effective household cleaning supplies to make your job easier. Buying cleaning products that are not fitted to serve your needs may lead to a cupboard full of unworthy products, which is why you need to know what to look for before purchasing anything.

KNOW YOUR NEEDS
The fact that we have different houses means we have different cleaning needs too. What one homemaker finds effective may not be as effective for you because of different factors. Before you buy anything, think about the areas that you clean every day. Are the tools you use enough to clean them, or can they use some improvement. You might also want to focus on hard-to-clean areas such as bathroom floors, which are quite difficult to clean because of the hair and dirt that usually litters it.

CLEANING 101
As with other things, you need to know the basics of cleaning before you can proceed with becoming a pro. One of the most confusing parts of household cleaning is selecting the tools and equipments that need to be purchased, so you need to know which are used more often.
Professional cleaners have what they call the BIG FOUR, which are actually the 4 main classifications of cleaning tools that is needed in a house. First in the list is the glass cleaner, which can be used for windows, mirrors, kitchen counters and refrigerator shelves. Second on the list the all-purpose cleaner which are effective for cleaning almost anything with tough, hard to clean soils and dirt. Third is the bathroom cleaner, which is a big must have since the bathroom is one of our top priorities when it comes to cleaning. Last on the list is the powdered abrasive cleaner, which is designed to get rid of tough dried dirt. This cleaner can be used on sinks and tubs, although they are effective for other surfaces as well.

ACCESSORIES
Other items that you might also want to include with your main list of household cleaning supplies are cleaning accessories which include rubber gloves, a cleaning apron, sponge, scrapers, squeegees, and others items such as a bissell carpet washer.
