Tokyo Holiday

A vacation in Tokyo would not be complete without going around the world's third most powerful city. Tokyo, being the capital and commercial district of Japan, offers a lot of sights to see and places to visit for tourists of all ages. Japan has been known to be ahead of everybody in terms of technological advancements but this does not hinder the government to preserve ancient Japanese structures and culture which is very visible in the museums and cultural centers that are open to the public.

On the other hand, for the hip and young who are on a Tokyo vacation, they can go to Shibuya which is a very popular district for the younger generation. The area is not only a very popular entertainment hub but also a shopping and fashion district where the latest and most colourful fashion trends can be found. While in Shibuya, like in any other district in Tokyo, one should not let the chance pass of seeing the area's most popular tourist destinations.


Avacation in Tokyo wouldn't be complete without a picture with the Hachiko Statue and a souvenir from the Tobacco and Salt Museum. Other must-sees during the day in the area are the Electric Power Museum, NHK Studiopark, National Yoyogi Stadium, Bunkamura. After a day of scouting the area and seeing the area's most popular tourist destinations, it now time to unwind, relax, and just enjoy one's Tokyo holiday The Shibuya district has been known to be an entertainment district with the long string of shopping centers, boutiques, game centers, bars, clubs, and restaurants.

For those who are on a vacation in Tokyo who are into mangas, anime, and cosplay, the Harajuku district in Tokyo is the place to visit. Harajuku is considered to be Japan's center for most extreme teenage culture and fashion style because of its long line of trendy shops, fashion boutiques, and bazaars that feature the trendiest outfits that almost resemble that of Japanese cartoon characters. As a weekly culmination, every Sunday, young people gather near the Harajuku train station wearing their chosen costume to resemble their favourite anime character.

Some Tokyo holiday packages do not offer or include trips or tours in some of the districts mentioned above. It doesn't really cost that much to go around Tokyo as long as one knows the right transportation to use. Besides, some of the museums and parks are open to the public, if not for free, at least for a minimal fee.
