Tooth Whitening Bleach

By Edited Nov 13, 2013 0 0

A lot of people today are looking for methods to whiten their teeth. It is easy to understand why, many things we do in modern society definitely don't do anything to help the color of our teeth. Many people have brown stains or yellow spots on their teeth, and this can sometime stand out. This becomes a problem because we are often judged on our first appearances and one of the first things people notice is your smile. Many people use methods that include tooth whitening bleach because of its proven effectiveness.

There are two ways you can choose to have your teeth bleached. The first is to have a dentist do it, this will however prove to be expensive and requires a trip down to the dentist office. I recommend you use a home kit for convenience sake. You can find these kits at your local dentist's office but they will have a heft markup from the price you can find them at online.

Tooth whitening bleach can be applied to the teeth in two methods. One involves a high concentration gel and the other uses lower concentration methods. The high concentration method involves a gel being placed directly on the teeth and a small dental plate being used to keep the gel from seeping out onto other parts of the patients mouth. This can be done at home or at a dentist's office. This option likely has more risks because a concentrated gel is more dangerous if it comes in contact with the soft tissues in the mouth. The area of particular risk is the area under the tongue because it easily absorbs chemicals. This is why many medications are taken by dissolving a pill under the tongue.

The second method involves a lower concentration agent. This can come in many forms. The most common is a strip made out of various materials that is covered in a agent to whiten your teeth. These strips are placed over the front of the teeth and the agent can be slowly absorbed by the teeth while you go about your business. Some of these suggest that you wear them for an hour a day while you are doing other things and some others require that you sleep with them in. This method requires many more treatments, but the use will likely find them a lot more convenient to their busy lifestyle.

Home tooth whitening bleach is probably a better method than having a dentist apply the bleach because it will be easier to fit into their lifestyle. You will likely also find it will be cheaper to do it yourself.
