Top 10 Hot Cars

By Edited May 2, 2015 9 33

Exotic Cars are something that we love to have, but generally this list of the top 10 hot cars will only be available for us to read about in car magazines and to daydream about. A select few of us will be able to buy one of these dream machines. Expensive cars are one of the best motivators for men to work hard. Unlike a nagging wife, we can always rely on a good time from our cars. If you can afford to, then I suggest you take a look at buying one of these super hot sports cars.

10. Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Spyder Performante

Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Spyder Performante

The Lamborghini designers took the Gallardo LP560-4 Spyder super car and lightened it up and then made it even faster. Although the Spyder was a true super car, the Spyder Performante will leave the Spyder in the dust. The Lamborghini Spyder Performante is not only a super cool car, but everybody will also be able to see you in it when you have the top dropped.

9. Aston Martin V8 Roadster

Aston Martin V8 Roadster

You may have no reason to go from 0-60 in 4.7 seconds, but if you own the Aston Martin V8 Roadster you will know that you can always reach that number with no problem. This car is fast, handles awesome, and is designed to be not only super fast but also super comfortable. Corvette guys can say what they want about their cars, but the Aston Martin V8 Roadster is so much hotter than a “Vette”.

8. Audi R8

Audi R8

The Audi R8 is based on the same platform as the Lamborghini Gallardo. In 2010 only 3,485 Audi R8 cars were produced. This is a very limited car that has extremely high demand. The Audi R8 can reach a top speed of over 200 MPH. The Audi R8 GT is a super fast car and can go from 0-120 in 10.8 seconds!

7. Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano

Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano

The Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano feature an engine with 5,999 Cubic Inches of displacement and 612 Horsepower. This is a production car that had 612 horsepower, which makes this car definitely one of the 10 hottest cars.

6. Austin Healey

Austin Healey

The Austin Healey was made between 1959-1967. The Austin Healey was often used as a Rally racer. Today you can still find some 3000 MKL cars that are being raced. This iconic British car had awesome clean lines, a fast engine, and some of the best handling available during the era in which this car was produced. This is one of the most beautiful rally cars from that era. Many people mistake this Austin Healey car for early Corvettes.

5. 1950’s Cadillac El Dorado Brougham

1950’s Cadillac El Dorado Brougham

The Cadillac El Dorado Brougham featured suicide doors on the rear. It was a very expensive car at the time.  The Cadillac El Dorado Brougham was made between 1957-1960. The Cadillac El Dorado Brougham was not a great seller at the time, but it did sell enough to remain profitable for the company. The Brougham had a lot of mechanical difficulties, but nothing that couldn’t be fixed with a stop at the Caddy dealership, which also helped the Cadillac Company make even more profits. The one exception was the air-suspension system. It was constantly failing and always needing attention. Many El Dorado Brougham owners got disgusted with the air-suspension constantly failing and had it replaced with a traditional spring suspension system.

In 1957 when this car was released it cost over $13,000. This was twice the cost of the other Cadillac models. $13,000 was an exorbitant amount of money in 1957.  In 1959 and 1960 the El Dorado Brougham was hand built in Italy. The quality of the 1959 and 1960 El Dorado Broughams were not near as good as the Cadillac’s that were built in Detroit. Poor sales led the production of this Cadillac model to cease, however the 1959-1960 Cadillac El Dorado Brougham design directly influenced the following decade of Cadillac designs.

4. Dodge Charger

Dodge Charger

The Dodge Charger was one of the original Muscle Cars. Fortunately Dodge brought this car back and packed it with a lot of punch. The new Dodge Charger was first shown to the public in 1999 with a Dodge Charger concept car. Reception of the design was so popular that Dodge went ahead with designing a model for actual production.

The original Dodge Chargers were totally awesome. The New Dodge Chargers are truly awesome. The sub-compact hatchback named the Charger “Shelby Edition” that was made between 1983-1987 was disgusting. Sure it got good gas mileage and appealed to buyers at the time, however it was the same as re-naming the Mona Lisa as Bob Smith and painting a trailer park onto the painting. Thank God that Dodge redeemed their character when they brought out the newest Dodge Chargers!

3. Lotus Elise

Lotus Elise

The Lotus Elis can reach speeds of 150 MPH. Although this may not be the fastest car on the hot car list, it is still super fast. The great handling combined with the amazing looks makes the Lotus Elise #3 on the top 10 hot cars list. Regardless of what angle you are viewing the Lotus Elise, it looks amazingly beautiful.

2. Cool Ford Mustang Roush Stage 3

Cool Ford Mustang Roush Stage 3

A 540 horsepower Mustang custom built by Roush Designs. This is the coolest Mustang of all the new designs.

1. Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport

Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport

This is the convertible model with a soft-top. If the top is down in convertible mode then the car can only reach a peak speed of 229 MPH. If the top is up then you can go even faster. Why the heck would you want to go 200 MPH in a convertible? Either way you will be doing it in the top hot car available. If you need a faster car then you can get the Super Sport model which is the fastest production car available, with a top speed of 253 MPH. This is one seriously cool car.

Apr 14, 2012 12:00am
I agree as well, there is this weak spot for German engineering I cannot shake. Where is Porsche in the line up though?
Apr 11, 2012 5:47am
I've always loved the #10 car, even in NFS.
Apr 11, 2012 10:07am
The Lamborghini is in its own class. Thank you for the visit and comment!

Apr 11, 2012 12:49pm
LOL Well, I think I will write another list on which your Suzuki is number one! I just have to figure out what the other 9 on that list should be. ???
Apr 13, 2012 2:05pm

Apr 14, 2012 1:50am
I am actually a little ashamed of myself. - Yes, it is a mistake that I don't have a Porsche on this list.
Apr 14, 2012 10:30am
What, no AC Ace or Shelby Cobra?
Apr 16, 2012 1:47pm
I fully understand your point. I can see that I have to write one more article about this.
Apr 15, 2012 11:14pm
Audi R8 has my vote! But I would gladly take either car, if offered. Great article, I like to read about how people with lots of money spend it! Congratulations on the feature.
Apr 16, 2012 1:49pm
Thank you! Yes the Audis are great. Until very recently my own car was an Audi, but I have to admit that it was a more modest one than the Audi R8.
Jun 13, 2012 9:21pm
The Healey would make a great car today if they could find someone that made affordable body. Power train and chassis would be easy, Art Morrison chassis and an LS9 engine.
Jun 20, 2012 7:16am
Thank you for your comment! Yes, the Healey is a great classic car.
Jun 20, 2012 1:00am
I always wanted the car number 2. But just can't get it for now :)

Cool article, but one quibble, #4 mentions "Dodge Charger" but the car in the picture is a Dodge Challenger.
