Top 10 Killer Functional Mobile Apps

By Edited Sep 2, 2015 4 4

There are countless mobile apps available. Some of the apps are completely worthless and do not do what they claim. Some apps were released as a joke such as the app that claimed you could shake your phone and it would recharge the battery with kinetic energy. There is nothing wrong with funny apps that make fart noises and popular games; however there are many Functional Mobile Apps on the market that can allow you to better use your time and increase your profitability when you are away from your office. Sometimes functional mobile apps will just increase the reliability of your mobile phone and sometimes they just allow you to pass some time while waiting for an appointment.

The Huffington Post is one of the best functional news apps on the app market. The Huffington Post has a liberal bias so if you follow Fox News you may not like it; however the layout, navigation, updates, and commenting features makes this  the most fluid and easy to use of any news app. If all newspapers invested into the quality of their mobile app like the Huffington Post does it would probably kill all traditional print newspapers. The best part is reading all of the comments on each article. This app is free. This app should be used as the model for all newspaper apps. One of the best features of this app is that there are numerous categories and you can easily rearrange the categories according to your own preferences and interests.

You can easily move apps to the SD card without having to navigate through the menu. It can be frustrating when you are running out of storage space on your phone, but the App 2 SD makes it easier to clear up space by moving apps to your SD card. Not all apps can be moved to the SD card; however it will easily show you on 1 page which apps can be moved to the SD card and which ones cannot be moved to the SD card.

The Opera Mini Browser is the number 1 most functional mobile app. Opera Mini is an easy to use browser regardless of which platform you use. Opera Mini is much more efficient to use compared to the Stock Android browser.

My favorite adjustment mode is to set the Opera Mini Browser

is to set the “Single Column View” to the ON position. This allows you to easily navigate and read all forums and WebPages without having to try and revert to the mobile form of the webpage.

Opera Mini works smoother and much faster than the stock browser in your phone. Book marking webpage, opening multiple windows, and navigating through these multiple windows is very easy with the Opera Mini Browser.

There are many apps you can download to make it easier to read their webpage; however many of these are rendered obsolete when you use the Opera Mini web browser.
