There are literally hundreds of speakers to choose from when it comes time to installing a subwoofer in your car. With that being said, there are many factors that come into play when determining what the top 10 subwoofers are. Things such as maximum wattage, RMS watts, voice coils, and magnet size must be considered!
I am not saying that these are the only subwoofers that you should consider for a car audio system, but I am saying that these are the top 10 subwoofers that you should be choosing from. They produce the best quality bass, and the voice coils in them will not blow when you turn the volume all of the way up!
One of the selling features of the Bazooka series of subwoofers is that they are relatively small, and come with built-in amplifiers. I have placed this on the list of the top 10 subwoofers to install in your car because it is an all-in-one subwoofer package! When you buy this Bazooka package, you will receive a 10 inch subwoofer in a tube-like enclosure, the class D amplifier, and all of the wires that are needed to install everything. The 10 inch sub has 250 watts of power, so it will not produce a ton of bass, but it is definitely enough to tickle your eardrums!
The fact that this subwoofer only contains a single voice coils is sort of disappointing, but it has 4 ohms of impedance which will make up for it! The Pioneer 10 inch Champion subwoofer contains has 1200 watts of peak power, and can be realistically pushed to 600 watts of RMS power! With that being said, Pioneer’s subwoofers have the best warranties, so you won’t have to worry about the voice coil on the subwoofer blowing!
Be sure to check out the Pioneer car subwoofers on Amazon being sold at insanely low prices...Pioneer offers an amazing warranty on their woofers, and some are being discounted at up to 60% off of their original price!
MTX has been a big brand name in the car audio industry for a long time, so it is no surprise that one of their models made it to my list of the top 10 subwoofers for your car! You may think that this 8 inch subwoofer does not produce a lot of bass, but you will be surprised at how much punch this sub packs! The MTX subwoofer come installed in a tube enclosure and has a built in 120 watt amplifier. This package does not come with the wires to hook it up to your car’s stereo system, but those are relatively inexpensive!
The one thing that MB Quart doesn’t have going for it is the fact that it has yet to make a BIG name for itself in the car audio industry; MB Quart is not considered one of the good subwoofer brands. However, I had to make an exception for this specific speaker to include it on the list of the top 10 subwoofers because it had impressed me! First off, it is a flat subwoofer which allows it to fit into the smallest trunks. It also contains a whopping 300 watts of RMS power, which will produce enough bass to really wake your neighbours!
The main selling feature of the Pyle 12 inch subwoofer is that it only weighs 12 pounds, which makes it the perfect candidate for the car enthusiasts that want to keep their vehicle’s weight low! It has 8 ohms of impedance, so the speaker gives you plenty of room to fool around with bridging the subwoofer and whatnot. I would only recommend the Pyle PPA 12 inch subwoofer to those that are on a budget, because it is an inexpensive woofer, but doesn’t produce the best sounding bass!

The Legacy Steel Series subwoofers were meant to be durable and withstand hockey bags and basketballs hitting them in your trunk. I would highly recommend putting a protective grille over these subwoofers, but it is not the end of the world if you don’t! This 2000 watt speaker has made it onto the top 10 list of subwoofers because it is extremely durable, and the cone does not break easily!
Let’s face it, I had to put at least one 15 inch model on the list of the top 10 subwoofers to put in your trunk. Not many people have enough trunk space to fit a 15 inch woofer, but those who do should really take advantage of the massive potential that they carry! This specific Hifonics Brutus subwoofer has dual voice coils, and will sound amazing with sealed or ported enclosures!
You can automatically imagine that a speaker is good quality when it has been labelled with the title “Marine Series”. JL produces some phenomenal subs, and it is only natural for at least 1 or 2 of JL Audio’s models to be included in this list. The 10 inch subwoofer from the Marine Series contains 175 watts of RMS power, and has a very pleasant-looking white grille to protect the cones of the speakers!

This JL Audio subwoofer is a step up from #3 on this list of the top subwoofers for cars; it costs a little bit more, but is labelled with the 300 watts RMS mark! What makes this subwoofer more appealing is its price tag; it will only cost you $200! JL Audio is considered to be one of the good subwoofer brands; the fact that they are letting one of the subwoofers go for $200 is enough of a reason to get one!
1. The First On The List Of The Top 10 Subwoofers-Kenwood 12 Inch Car Sub- KFC-W3013Credit: Amazon.com
With a rating of 1200 watts of peak power, how could I put this Kenwood subwoofer anywhere else on the list but first? What really makes this woofer stand out from the rest is the fact that it hits virtually every frequency! The Kenwood KFC-W3013 will hit every note that falls in the 34hz to 300hz range, which is very rare for a 12 inch subwoofer. I would highly recommend this to anybody that has enough trunk space to accommodate the sub!
