Zmbi is a simple endless game about a group of zombies traveling to eat humans in a dark run down city. Clear their path to keep them running, even in the face of traffic cones, barricades, and car convoys. Its 8bit pixel art add an extra touch to the exciting game and homage to earlier games like Pac-man. Eating humans adds to the zombie group for more lives, and remember to eat brains to become temporarily invincible. Try to get as far as possible (my high score is 7,500 feet). The fun theme and attractive graphics make this an addicting zombie adventure.
4. Temple Run
Temple Run was one of the first of its kind, which made put the game on the top charts and led to many successful sequels like Temple Run 2. The jungle explorer themed game has the player run away from monster apes with a golden idol. Buy new Indiana Jones-esque explorer characters, boosts, upgrades, and more with gold coins. I find Temple Run harder to play than other endless runner games because of how many turns and obstacles there are. Traversing the infinite rainforest of Temple Run shows the amazing graphics in the app.
3. Dead Ahead
This game's best qualities are its nostalgic arcade-style graphics and the fact that its plot is more thought out than most games. The story takes place in a city invaded by zombies, and you the pizza delivery boy must use your bike and guns to escape while shooting and crushing zombies. Upgrade and purchase new neat weapons and bikes to become more powerful and fast. Rise the ranks from rookie on up from killing the undead. Dead Ahead would probably be ranked higher if it weren't for the many, many ads that pop up frustratingly.
2. Punch Quest
Punch Quest is an action filled game where you explore dungeons with only your fists to defend yourself. Like the title suggests, most of the game consists of punching enemies with uppercuts, dash punches, and other attacks. The in-game store has skills, attacks, boosts, upgrades, and super moves. The quests and missions in the game make for endless gameplay and always gives the player something to do. Random and hilarious elements in the app like a Dino-apocalypse, or levitating cloaked wizards. I like Punch Quest because unlike other games, it's not just a running game, it's a fighting and running game
1. Jetpack Joyride
Created by Halfbrick, Jetpack Joyride has won many awards including the Gamasutra Mobile Game of 2011, TUAW Best iPhone Game of 2011, UGO iOS Game of the Year, and Game Revolution Best Mobile Game 2011. Barry is a failing businessman who sees a prototype jetpack and steals it from an evil secret laboratory. I like this game because of it's one touch gameplay; the only control is to press the screen to propel the jetpack. Evade lasers, missiles, and electrocuting zappers in this non stop adventure game. Jetpack Joyride is better than other games for its awesome vehicles, gadgets, and more
