Below are my top 5 facial cleansers based off of personal use. Just for the record, I used all of these cleansers with my Oil of Olay Professional Pro-X Advanced Cleansing System. I feel that using this gives my face a deeper clean and leaves it feeling fresh.
#5 Biore Blemish Fighting Ice Cleanser
My #5 Pick is Biore Blemish Fighting Ice Cleanser. This is quite an invigorating face wash, it gives your face a cool refreshing feel while using it. This product is also oil free and contains salicylic acid so if you are prone to acne this might be the way to go. I am a little torn with this product however, since it does not remove my make up completely, especially my eye makeup. A sure sign of this is going to bed and waking up looking like a racoon, that is what happened to me with this makeup, but I did not have any breakouts. Just be sure to use a good moisturizer with this face wash since it does have a slight bit of skin drying to it after many uses.
#4 Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser
My #4 pick is the Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser. This product gets great reviews so I figured I needed to try it out. It worked well in removing my makeup and leaving my skin feeling soft. My biggest issue with this was that it claims to be non-irritating, well let me tell you, once this stuff hit my eyes they were burning right up! Even when I tried to avoid them it seemed to find its way right into them. I put this as my #4 due to the fact that I couldn't use it for long because it was really hurting my eyes, and as you will see, one of my biggest issues is being able to remove my eye makeup. This one does everything great except that one thing.
#3 Josie Maran Cleansing Oil
My #3 pick for face cleanser is Josie Maran's Cleansing Oil. At first may make you a bit nervous about how oily it feels, however once you apply it and start rubbing it in it gives an amazingly refreshing feel. Also keep in mind a little goes a long way. It really does a great job of removing all of my makeup, including my eye makeup. My only grips with this one is that my face did seem to have a few small breakouts with using this, and I am not much of a fan of the scent. But my face certainly felt soft and well moisturized. It is also Free of Parabens - Sulfates - Synthetic Fragrances - Synthetic Dyes - Petrochemicals - Phthalates - GMOs - Triclosan.
#2 Boscia Makeup-breakup Cool Cleansing Oil
My runner up in best facial cleansers is the Boscia Makeup-Break Up Cleansing Oil. You may be saying... "Here we go again with an oil", but, this one takes the cake in my opinion. It has an amazing feeling on your skin and here is the best part....eye makeup just falls off of your face. Even the toughest of the tough. It also does not burn your eyes like most cleansers that claim to remove eye makeup do. It leaves my skin nice and soft without any oil residue feel at all. The reason for me that this beat the Josie Maran was due to the fact that my face didn't break out at all. It left me with a soft, clean, makeup free face. There is also a nice "minty" scent to it that works wonders if you can't wake up in the morning like myself.
#1 Philosophy Purity Made Simple
Here it is folks...My #1 face cleanser that I have found. Purity Made Simple by Philosophy is hands down my favorite. There is something so light and pure, (no pun intended) that it almost feels like you have nothing on your face. It removes make up wonderfully, and leaves your skin nice and soft, without a strong scent. It cleans deep into my pores and I wake up in the morning feeling my face is still as super clean as it was before I hit the pillow. I know that it does not claim to do following, however, I also find that it makes the texture of my skin more glowing. There is just something about this cleanser that keeps me coming back for more. Winner, Winner!!
