Charcoal Grills Give You a Flavor Gas Cannot

and here are the top charcoal grills under $100

Most people say summer is "grillin' season", but I think any day of the year is a great day to grill.  People have their own preferences on whether gas grills or charcoal grills are better.  However, in my opinion, even with added flavoring, gas grills just simply cannot create the flavor that you can get from a charcoal grill.  The best part of a backyard cookout, in my humble opinion, is not the food, it is, instead, the time you spend with those you are cooking for.  Therefore, if it takes a little longer to cook on a charcoal grill, then, so be it. It's time you get to share with friends and family.  Add that to superior flavor, and I don't know how you can say no to a charcoal grill.  So here's my list of the best charcoal grills under a hundred bucks.

5 -  Masterbuilt Kettle Grill - 22.5" Available for $89.98 on Amazon.com - Available in a variety of sizes, this grill is great for meats, veggies and a great time.  It's porcelain covered lid and bowl encapsulates a large grilling area. It does have the sometimes difficult chrome wire grill, but has a much improved temperature control system and heavy duty wheels.

4 - Blue Rhino CBC1232SP Deluxe Outdoor Charcoal Barbeque Grill - Available for $86.97 on Amazon.com - The humongous cooking surface has room for more than 20 burgers, and also has a 193 square inch warming rack, and a convenient undercarriage area for storing tools. Its patented adjustable grid allows for easy temperature adjustments, and it also has a porcelain coated steel cooking grid.  This grill makes difficult charcoal grilling a little more manageable, and a little easier to clean.

3 - Char-Griller 1515 Patio Pro Model Grill - Available for $89.98 on Amazon.com - This "small-smoker" style grill has an innovative sliding drawer to make loading, reloading and clean up. It also has cast iron cooking grates which after a few cook-outs adds a distinct flavor.  The "Stay Cool" wood handle, a wooden side shelf to hold your grilling tools and your bucket-o'-beverages, and wheels make the cookout safe and easy. It also looks great, not the typical charcoal grill look.

2 - Weber 741001 22.5-Inch One-Touch Silver Kettle Grill - Available for $99 on Amazon.com - The Weber One-Touch Silver kettle grill has the perfect classic easy-to-use style that your friends and family are used to. It can cook enough to serve your entire pool party, but, is also easy enough to use to cook on a night-to-night basis.  The One-Touch Silver's classic kettle shape heats evenly, keeping charcoal flare-ups to a minimum. As a whole, Weber has a reputation as one of the best all around grill makers on the market.

1 - Lodge Logic L410 Pre-Seasoned Sportsman's Charcoal Grill - Available for $79 on Amazon.com - This compact tabletop grill is made with durable, even, slow heating cast iron. This rugged, charcoal, teppanyaki-style grill works great for picnics, tailgating, car camping, or for the small backyard barbecue. Another of the cast iron cooking grates that heats slowly but retains the heat for a long time, meaning you need less charcoal than you would for aluminum or steel grates. The grill's cooking surface comes pre-seasoned and ready to use, meaning you get flavor from the cast iron immediately, unlike those that come plain. The grate can be rotated away from the heat source to make sure you can cook evenly. The grill has two adjustable heights, along with a draft door that regulates the heat, which allows for not only frying or grilling, but also warming a pot of coffee or chili. It also allows for easy coals access through the rear flip-down door.  While it may not cook for a huge party, most people use the grill for family cooking.  This grill is perfect for that, and is also easy to pack up and take on the road.  In short, this is the perfect "everyman" grill.

Whichever you pick, enjoy the grill!
