Interested in Autographed Michael Cards

Of course the ultimate top up to any Michael Jordan collection is an autographed card. Commonly known as ‘autos’, these retail for significantly more than their un-autographed counterparts. It’s important that you consider a number of things before you go for your card.

Look Out for Fakes

There are a lot of fake Jordan autos in the market and so you need to ensure that you have authenticated copies or buy from a trusted seller.

Watch Out for Stick Ons

Some manufacturers didn’t actually have the cards signed by the players; they sent over sheets of plastic and then put these on to the cards. Therefore these particular trading-cards were never actually in the hand of the player, which is a downside to this way of doing things. These are hence less collectable.

The Condition and the Autograph

You need to watch out for the condition of the autograph and the trading-card. When you are buying anything, you need to be discerning. And if a card has streaky autograph ink then it will diminish the value and the appeal of the card. There’s also autograph grading which can be efficiently done on your cards and can therefore increase the value of your card if you get a 10 out of 10.

Buy Back Autograph Cards

These are very in demand cards as they are extremely rare. In nearly every case, the player has actually held these cards in their hands and very few of them are stuck on plastic autographs, if any. Because these cards were put in to the market and were in circulation, the condition is not always great. As with any investment or collectible item, you need to ensure that you buy the best you can and understand the value based on the condition of what you are buying.

So there you have it… a look at the top ten Michael Jordan cards. This great athlete is immortalised in hundreds of great cards. So whatever your budget you can grab a piece of history in every Michael Jordan trading card.
