The world's fastest cars 0-100kmph

Here we're going to look at the ten fastest cars for 0-100kmph. These bad boys are incredible but come with an incredible price tag thrown in. If you want one of these you've got to be earning hundreds of thousands a year at least. They represent the absolute pinnacle of motoring and are some of the sllekest, sexiest and frankly incredible cars that have ever been created. They are the stuff of dreams and hopefully one day you'll probably never be able to afford them. But that doesn't stop us dreaming so without further ado we present to you the 10 fastest accelerating cars from 0-100kmph - be prepared for some serious drooling.

1.Bugatti Veyron Super Sport 2010  0-100kmph in 2.4s.

The Bugatti Veyron super sport is the most technically advanced car EVER made. 16 cylinders four valves/cylinder, 1200 break horse power, 1500 N-m torque and with a top speed of 408kmph make the Bugatti the best car on the planet. PERIOD. Also comes with the greatest price tag any car has ever seen at $2,600,000.

2.Hennessey Venom GT 2011  0-100kmph in 2.5s

The Venom GT has a modified Lotus chassis with a supercharged V8 engine, 1,200 break horse power and weighs only 1,100kg. One of these beasts will set you back a measly $725,000 USD but so far only three have been made making them rare to say the least.

3.Ariel Atom V8 2011  0-100kmph in 2.5s

Let's face it the Ariel Atom isn't much to look at, it looks like a Kit car or overlarge go kart. But don't let that fool you for a second as with a 3 litre DOHC V8 engine, 268 lb-ft torque, 475 break horsepower, a staggering 10,500 rpm and weighing only 1213lbs this car is more like a F1 car than a Kart. For the feat of engineering this car is the price tag of $195,500 dollars - which we think is a bargain.

4.Bugatti Veyron 2005  0-100kmph in 2.5s

The fact that Bugatti appear twice in the top five fastest accelerating cars shows just how good their engineering really is. Only 300 of these were ever made and sold for a whopping $1,000,000. With 1,001 break horse power, a 16 cylinder four valve engine and a top speed of 408.47 kmph this really is the second best car ever made, the first is of course the Veyron super sport.

5.Caparo T1 2007  0-100kmph in 2.5s

The Caparo T1 was designed by the McLaren F1 team and is one of the few road legal race cars available. The car is incredibly light weighing only 470kg, with a 3.5litre V8 engine producing a beautiful 575 break horse power at 10,500 rpm and 310 pounds of torque per foot. This car is absolutely gorgeous and will set you back only a modest $490,000 making it of course highly affordable.

6.Orca SC7 2005  0-100kmph in 2.6s

Whilst it may look like a Lamborghini that's melted in the sun with its twisted contours and dripping wax look the Orca is actually incredibly engineered and delicately streamlined. With a modified Audi twin turbo V8 and extensive lightweight carbon fibre body work the Orca is capable of reach speeds of over 400kmph. It is capable of producing 738 feet-pounds of torque and 850 break horsepower. Regrettably only seven of these Swiss supercars were ever made so the chances of finding one for sale are zero.

7.Ultima GTR 2006  0-100kmph in 2.6s

In 2006 the Ultima GTR was both the fastest accelerating and the fastest decelerating car in the world. Now most of you would agree there's nothing pretty aesthetically about this car but with 727 horse power per tonne it has a better power to weight ratio than the Veyron producing up to 1,000 break horse power. For such a slim and streamlined car this is staggering and it challenges the supercars domination of the top fastest accelerators msot admirably.

8. Porsche 911 Turbo S 2011 0-100kmph in 2.7s

The 2011 911 Turbo is Porsche’s best outing for a decade. Retaining the sleek sexy feel of previous models the engineers have managed to dynamically improve performance.  With a H6 twin turbo engine, 530 break horse power and 6750rpm the turbo is the daddy of all Porsches. Costing only $280,000 this is probably the cheapest car of its kind.

9. SSC Ultimate Aero TT 2010  0-100kmph in 2.78s

The SSC ultimate Aero is the fastest road legal supercar around a track in the world. With 1287 break horse power a twin turbo supercharged V8 engine, 7200rpm and an incredible top speed of 270mph the aero is definitely not light and bubbly. Pick one of these up for just $700,000. This car is absolutely one of the best things you could ever drive on the road and definitely awesome.

10. Ascari A10 2007  0-100kmph in 2.8s

The only rear wheel drive supercar to make the top ten and with a top speed of 354kmph this is a truly exceptional piece of engineering. With 635 break horse power and weighing a rather large 2654lbs it’s amazing to see that a rear wheel drive car can have such impressive acceleration. You can get your hands one of these for $650,000 so why wait.

So, you drooling yet? Which one are you going to buy first? Out of these the Bugati Veyron is clearly most people's dream car. It's a powerhouse of technology and I doubt we're going to see anything even come close to rivalling this for at least a decade. However, all these cars are simply gorgeous and i'd personally settle for any of them. Of course I spend most of my day writing and doubt i'll ever earn quite that much money but hey i've always got a kidney to sell - any takers?
