Tourism Guide Kralendijk, Bonaire
In the Netherlands Antilles, the capital city and the very important port of Bonaire lies Kralendijk. Three years back it has a population of around only 3000 people. The local residents of the island call this place simply a "Beach" or "Playa". This island in the Dutch Antilles is basically a sleepy capital of Bonaire. This island seems to be more beautiful because of the colorful pastel stucco houses present there mainly in lime greens, pinks and oranges. People who love diving should surely visit this place because it is surrounded by Marine Parks and other fascinating places are also available like casinos, hiking, flamingos and pink beaches.
Pink Beach:
This beach is located at south of Kralendijk. The color of the beach comes from the sand where the corals are grounded by the sea. Moreover, pink is the color of Bonaire's very popular flamingos which are as much as 15000 in number during Mating Season.
Thrill and Adventure:
In Bonaire, Kralendijk is very famous to have above and below water adventure. For example one can have a blast while diving in Marine Park or even have a great deal of enjoyment via doing offshore fishing and catch fishes like sailfish, tuna and blue marlin. There is also a national park by the name called Washington Slagbaai where a variety of unique birds can be seen like Caribbean Parakeet to a very famous bird which is known for stealing sugar from a person's dinning table called Bananaquit. This park also offers tourist to have thrill through hiking by offering plenty of terrains. The hiking can be done from cacti and deserts to ocean views and peaks of mountains.
Shop with bargain:
A very famous place of shopping in Kralendijk by the name called Kaya Grandi offers a very good bargain facility especially to tourists coming there. The famous things available to shop are ceramics, silver, leather, wood and gemstone jewelry. The most preferred things to shop by the tourists are island dolls and painted fishes.
Local Food:
There are many delicious local foods to be found but the most a usual and the most tried dish by tourists there is the soup of cactus. Other than that the most favorite local cuisine is Creole. More tasty meals include funchi, plantain, lobster, grilled spicy fish and papaya.
Town Currency:
Though the local currency of the place is Netherlands Antillean florin (NAf), but credit cards and US Dollars are also easily accepted.
