Tumble Dryer Appliances - Should You Get A Vented Dryer Or A Condensing Dryer?

By | 0 Comments | Rating: 0 | |

This day and age, a lot of people are trying to get their hands on a drying machine to dry their clothes automatically. The prices of these handy household appliances have come down significantly in the past few years. Ever since me and my family have purchased a drying machine, we have been much better off. The time I once spent on hanging the clothes out to dry, is now spent with my family. We are all much happier because of it. For a long time, we've wondered if we should get a vented dryer or a condensing dryer.

When it comes to tumble dryer condensers, these are basically the only two options you've got. You're either going to get a vented one, or a condensing one. The difference between these two, is that the vented one requires a ventilation opening in your home to the outside, so it can blow off its steam while it is doing its job. The condensing one, however, doesn't need any ventilation at all. Instead, it condenses moisture from clothing and traps the water in a water tank. This water tank also needs to be emptied frequently.

Vented dryers are going to take up much more space than condenser tumble dryers, for the simple reason that they need extra space because they are going to have a big pipe connected to them. The pipe has to lead to the ventilation opening in your home. Vented dryers are much cheaper than condensing dryers, for the simple reason that they are slightly more high-tech. So that would be a good reason to get a vented one. Ofcourse, you're going to have to make sure that you have a ventilation opening somewhere in your home.

When me and my family moved into our new home, we wanted to hook up our vented dryer, but couldn't find an opening for it. Our new house doesn't have any grills on the side of its walls, so that's how we found out we don't even have a ventilation opening. We had to break the bank to get the LG WM3431HS All In One Washer Titanium, which is a condensing machine. It cost a few bucks, but I sure am happy to not have to transfer washed clothes to the dryer anymore. It saves me even more time this way!
