Turning Desperation Into Mental Power

By Edited Jan 17, 2014 0 0

We all suffer from feelings of desperation, fatigue, exhaustion and worry. Some of us do it a little and some of us do it a lot, but the truth is that we all do it sometimes. This doesn't happen only to Internet marketers.

It happens to everyone. And most of us try very hard to hide our doubts and worries from the rest of the world for fear we'll appear weak or stupid or childlike or silly. But it doesn't change the fact that it happens to us all.

So, what do we do with this truth? What can we do with the moments of desperation? You know the ones I'm talking about.

We sit and wonder what we've really accomplished. We have regrets about what didn't happen, what didn't get done or what didn't get done to our satisfaction. We suffer at our own hands – we're our own worst enemies and our worst judge!

By the time the clock strikes midnight on December 31, we're feeling down and desperate to turn things around, and yet we're feeling stuck in a big pile of glue. Well, it's time to turn that desperation into mental power!

It's time to let go of those old fears and move on to something better – the power to break free of limiting thoughts and the power to break free of the old negative self talk that lead us here. Let's look at some ways that each person can get serious about turning desperation into mental power right now:

· Get a grip on your thoughts. Whether you know it or not, your thoughts are things – they're made of energy and that energy has tremendous power. What you think about yourself, your business and your life is what you'll produce in yourself, your business and your life. It takes time and effort to change your life by changing your thoughts, but it's the only real way to do it, and it's very powerful.

· Understand the root of your desperation. Is it because you really, truly accomplished nothing today or this week, month or year? Or is it because you're not progressing as quickly as you think you should be? Is it because you are worried that you're not keeping up with others?

Once you understand where your doubt, fears and worries are coming from, you can address them one by one to see if they're valid. You might ask yourself to provide proof that your doubt is valid, and is it valid in your mind or someone else's? Here's a hint: it doesn't matter what others think!

· If you find that you have some valid doubts or worries, don't just sit there and let them stew. Begin to find solutions to those problems, even if the solution means setting up a series of goals to meet, with the final goal being the final solution.

· As for the desperate feelings and doubts that are unproven and invalidated, give them up – let them go! They're extra baggage and no one needs the extra weight to lug around.

· Affirm right now that you are a valid and significant person as you are, at this moment! Why do this? Because it's the truth! Sure, you can do things to improve yourself – that's part of learning and growing. But you're still A-OK right now. Start from that mindset and go from there.

· Commit yourself to living a life of mental power rather than desperation. There are very, very few instances in your life that can truly be called desperate, so don't let desperation become your mindset. Take stock of what you have right now (and yes, you do have good stuff), and get to work at creating positive goals for yourself that you start working on today! Remember that you can work at your goals one bite at a time – the same way you'd eat an elephant. It might take you awhile, but that's okay as long as you don't give in to nagging doubts and quit.

In the world of Internet marketing, it can be easy to get bogged down and feel like you're not getting far when you keep your eye only on your end goal. That's why it's important to use your short term accomplishments as mile markers along your path.

Turning desperation into mental power requires some work and it requires you to look at your mile markers and pat yourself on the back when you reach each one. Have faith that you can continue the journey and make money online. Make it yours and make it strong!
