UV Toothbrush Cleaner
A UV toothbrush cleaner is a tool that is used both to stop the spread of germs to other family members, and to stop us from re-infecting ourselves with germs when we brush our teeth. A UV tooth cleaner works by enclosing the toothbrush and emitting a dose of ultraviolet light that kills most of the germs that are present on the toothbrush.
By enclosing the toothbrush, it stops the toothbrush from coming in contact with other toothbrushes. Just think about if someone else in your household has a cold. You avoid sharing drinks with them, and you stay out of the way when they cough. If they are an intimate partner, you may even avoid any intimate contact with them. All to avoid picking up any germs. Then you brush your teeth with your toothbrush that is brushing against theirs. You get the cold and you cannot figure out how.
By enclosing the toothbrush, it is also keeping the toothbrush from picking up germs as they float around the bathroom. As the toilet is flush, the shower is run, or the sink is used, it puts moisture in the air, and that air is carrying germs around. Enclosing the toothbrush keeps it out of contact with these germs.
The UV toothbrush cleaner is also killing the germs that are on the toothbrush from your own mouth. We clean our teeth to get rid of germs and decay. When we wash our dishes or our bodies, we use soap. Why do we think that just rinsing our toothbrush with water gets it clean? Use a UV Cleaner to carry out this task.
When buying a UV Cleaner, consider these points.
Where it will be sitting - Do you want it on the counter, or wall mounted
- Size – how many people are in the household and will be using it
- Travel – if there are travelers in the household, consider buying several small units
- Kids – If kids are using the unit, make sure it is easy to use.
- Power – Electric or battery
Use of the cleaner will not negate the need to replace your toothbrush at regular intervals, or after a major cold or flu. The bristles will still wear out and you still want to have a toothbrush free of the flu germs. However, the regular use of the UV cleaner should keep you in better health as the germs on your toothbrush are kept at a minimum.
