It is never fun when you have to unclog your drains. It can be tricky, tiring, and possibly expensive. Step 1: Grab Your Ingredients
In order to unclog your drains, you will need baking soda (Arm and Hammer will work perfectly), white vinegar, and some hot water preferably boiled from the kettle. These will be your main tools for unclogging your drains, with baking soda being the key ingredient.
Step 2: Unclog Your Drains with Baking Soda!
Now to the fun part: unclogging your drains! Take a half a cup of baking soda and pour it down the congested drain. Follow up the baking soda with some white vinegar (Watch out! You will get some volcanic like effects, but that’s all part of the plan). Let the mixture continue to bubble for a few seconds. After that, take your hot water and pour it down the clogged drain, and up with the baking soda and white vinegar will come all of the yucky stuff that had been stuck down there.
This method for unclogging your drains with baking soda will work on many types of things that cause clogged drains, namely hair and other small things that build up over time. If this method does not work, then you will probably have to call a local plumber to come and do the job.
Not only is this a good way to unclog your drains, but it is a good way to prevent your drains from clogging in the first place as well, using the same ingredients.
