Uneven skin tone - Using lemon juice

By Edited Dec 17, 2013 2 3

Using lemon juice is a natural way to treat uneven skin tone. Lemon juice in general is great for skin care. Lemons are very high in vitamin C. A vitamin that helps protect the skin from damage, along with repairing damaged skin. In my personal experience, lemon juice might be the best natural way to bleach and treat uneven skin tone. Dark spots of the skin and skin blemishes can come from poor diet, and ultraviolet lights. It's important to prevent uneven skin tone for health reasons, not just for appearances. Using lemon juice is a helpful ingredient, but eating a better diet and protecting your skin from damage is just as important. To get effective skin rejuvenation, it takes more than just herbal and over-the-counter treatments to get the best skin care.

Before we discuss some of the ways to use lemon juice to treat uneven skin tone, I'll list ways to help prevent skin damage. First off, you'll want to not smoke and drink a lot of alcohol. Substances that provide a lot of toxins can help damage skin cells. Eating a good diet of foods high in vitamin C, vitamin E and other antioxidants can play apart in skin rejuvenation. A good diet is a natural way to help prevent uneven skin tone by getting the proper amount of antioxidants into your skin cells. Protecting your skin from sunlight can prevent uneven skin tone as well, as sunlight causes an increase of free radical attacks.

Lemon juice also contains a good amount of citric acids. Citric acids bleaches the skin, and removes uneven skin pigments. Lemon juice isn't too high citric acids, just enough to help fade away skin blemishes, dark circles under eyes, and other dark spots on your skin. Lemon juice is a bit strong, and is best used when diluted when treating uneven skin tone. You should keep lemon juice away from your eyes. I'll list different lemon juice facial masks that you can use to treat uneven skin tone.

Lemon juice recipes for skin care and uneven skin tone

1.) Lemon juice face mask: Milk powder(one teaspoon), 1/4th a cup of organic lemon juice, one teaspoon of vitamin E oil. Mix together and apply to your entire face. Specifically where you have uneven skin tone. You should leave the facial mask on your face for about 15-20 minutes, until the skin is dry. Then wash with warm water, and you recognized a better skin tone complexion.

2.) Lemon juice face mask with cucumber: It is best used for treating dark circles under your eyes. Take a small cucumber slice, and add it to a food processor. Then add about a tablespoon of lemon juice. Take a cotton ball, and apply under your eyes. Do not get the lemon juice/cucumber juice into your eyes. Wash your eyes 10 minutes after. Instantly it should fade the dark circles under your eyes. If not completely, at least a noticeable difference.

3.) Lemon juice and potato face recipe: Potato juice can fade blemishes and uneven skin tone. This can be used to treat dark circle eyes, or uneven skin tone on other parts of the body. Take 1/4th of a potato, and add it to a food processor. Add in one tablespoon of lemon juice. Then mix in a tablespoon of colloidal oatmeal (to make a paste for the face). Otherwise leave out the oatmeal for your eyes. Leave on your skin for 15 minutes, then wash with warm water.

4.) Egg white and lemon juice face mask: Add in one egg white, without any yolk. Then had a teaspoon of lemon juice. Then add in half a teaspoon of vitamin E oil. You'll tighten skin pores with this facial mask. Leave on for 15 minutes, then wash with warm water.

I had no idea lemon juice could be used for skincare! That's amazing. It's great to learn something like this!
It does make sense for lemon juice to fade discoloration and marks on the skin - it's acidic. I suppose it's a natural way of deeper exfoliation due to the mild acidic nature of a lemon - more so than drugstore beauty products.
