Many brides want to know how to create unique beach wedding centerpieces to fit with their beach-themed wedding. Beach weddings are very romantic, especially when they’re held during a sunset across a huge sky canvas of red and orange. The deep contrast between the blue ocean and the white sand is a perfect background. You want your wedding centerpieces to only add to this beautiful setting.

However if there is no beach near your area where you can hold weddings or wedding receptions do not worry as you can still have a beautiful beach-themed wedding with the right decor. With just a few decorating ideas and tips, you can easily transform the reception area to something that reminds you of your long walks and candlelit dinners at the beach.

Regardless of where you decide to have your reception, one very important item is the table centerpiece. This can often make or break the overall mood of your reception area. So without further ado, here are some great beach wedding centerpiece ideas:

  • One great idea for a beach wedding centerpiece is a glass bowl filled with sand. Get a medium sized glass bowl and fill it with white sand. You can add pebbles, corals, and shells to make it more interesting and add texture. Create a small mountain of sand, filling the bowl about an inch over the brim. Add candles at the center. Choose blue, white, or green candles to make it more beach-like. You can even sprinkle flowers around the candles if you want.
  • Another idea is to use candles only, without sand or glass. Buy the candles that already have seashells in them or if you can make your own candles, just collect seashells and add them in as you mold the shape of the candle. Alternatively, you can buy large candles in beach colors and use a candle holder made of seashells or corals.
  • Create a table runner made of white sand. Create a straight line at the middle of the long table from one end to another by pouring white sand. Add sea shells, tea lights, and small flowers to make it more dramatic. This is a great idea but this is not good if it is especially windy that day. You do not want your guests to eat sand! Also, this is only appropriate an outdoor beach wedding, where your guests are family and close friends.
  • A fun idea is to use a kids beach pail and create some sand castles with it. Add flip flops, a starfish, flowers, sea shells, sunglasses, and any other small items that remind you of the beach. This idea is probably more suited for casual receptions.

There are so many beautiful beach wedding centerpieces you could create, each with their own unique flare. Just go with a style that best compliments the overall atmosphere you are looking to create and have fun with it.
