There is no better way to surprise and thank your dad on Father's Day than with a unique Father's Day gift. Forget ties, paper weights, and even gift certificates. Here are some great gifts to give your dad that come from the heart.

Create a Scrapbook

There are different kinds of scrapbooks that you can create to make a unique Father's Day gift.

If you are crafty, you can go to a craft store, purchase a scrapbook and all of the materials to make it. Go through photo albums and collect pictures of you and him together. Create a one-of-a-kind memory album. Type up captions for each picture that describe memories and feelings you remember from that day.

If you are not into crafts, you can create a digital scrapbook. Upload photos to websites such as Snapfish or Kodak Gallery. In the comfort of your home, you can arrange photos, add text and backgrounds, and voila, you have a unique Father's Day gift.

Create a Family Tree

Have you ever seen a geneology search? Go to Ancestory.com and find out your paternal family's story. Ask other relatives to help fill in the details and create a unique gift that your Father will appreciate.

Send an email to friends and family and ask them to share a memory about your father. Have them write or type them on 8 x 11 paper and send them to you unfolded in the mail, along with a picture of them with your dad (if they have one).
