4th in the House of Night series, Untamed is a can't put down book. Zoey Redbird hasn't been at her new school for vampyres long, but already she has been made the leader of the Dark Daughters and Sons. Her close friends all have special abilities that make them more powerful then the average student, however Zoey is farther developed then all of them. She has an affinity for all five elements... and the head of her school, Neferet, knows all about it appears to want to take Zoey down. Neferet is evil, but no one else knows.

Zoey and her group must find some way to deal with the red fledglings...and group of new vampyres that Neferet created. Students who died at school were brought back to life and transformed into something else...something unnatural. A new kind of vampyre that wants to kill, and can't control the urges it has for blood. Zoey's best friend Stevie Rae is one of them and with Zoey's help she has been able to become something more like her old self...but how normal is she? Something sinister still seems to lurk deep inside Stevie Rae, but Zoey doesn't want to admit it.

Other threats are lurking around every corner. Zoey feels a strange presence when she is outside, something dark and quick...flying above her and watching her all the time. This shadowed creature begins to attack Zoey, making her feel very scared for the first time in a long time. Not long after Aphrodite has a vision. Destruction and death are all she sees and it revolves around the death of Zoey. Later another vision shows a prophecy, a destroyer is coming and Zoey and her group of friends are sure that Neferet is behind it all. As Zoey's Grandma comes to stay at the school so she can help stop the coming doom, the shadows are taking form, becoming Ravens with the hands and legs of a man, swooping down to attack Zoey and even causing a car accident for her Grandma.

Zoey must find the strength to fight off this evil. With the help of her friends, and even her ex boyfriend, she decides to confront Neferet in front of the entire school. She exposes the red fledglings to everyone and forces Neferet to acknowledge what she has done. But will she? Or does Neferet already have a plan of her own, one that could change all their lives for the worse? You'll have to read it to find out.
