Use Stomach Workouts to Get a Flat Tummy
Obesity is a large problem in the United States and it seems to just be getting worse. Whether you are obese or have extra fat in the belly area performing stomach workouts regularly can help flatten your tummy.
If you have a lot of fat in the stomach area you're going to need to burn that off to help your stomach lean out enough for your abdominal muscles to show. For this reason, the very first stomach workout that you should concentrate on is high intensity interval training. You might be thinking that it's not really a stomach workout but it actually is.
High Intensity Interval Training
High intensity interval training (or HIIT) involves short bouts of intense exercise followed immediately by a longer recovery period of activity that is performed at a lower intensity level. HIIT is a great way to start losing belly fat and fat all over the rest of your body as well. If you don't move and get active, your chances of being overweight are much greater.
Actual Stomach Workouts
Once you start to lose inches off your waist, you'll begin to see where your abs are and they will eventually begin to show through the skin. To make them stronger you should perform stomach workouts that work all of the abdominal muscles including the upper abs, lower abs and obliques.
Some really great stomach workout exercises include:
- Crunches
- Reverse Crunches
- Hanging Knee or Leg Raises
- Bicycle Crunches

What you eat has a direct effect on what your body looks like both on the inside and on the outside. If you eat healthy foods, it's going to show. Always avoid sugary drinks, foods with sugar and excess fat. Fat and sugar is okay in moderation but moderation is key. If you let yourself indulge a little bit you'll be less likely to crave foods and end up going through a binge of eating food that is high in calories, sugar and/or fat.
