Sometimes after a tragic event we struggle to return our life to the way it was prior to the event. We will seemingly do anything to fix the situation and get our life back to the way it was before the event. You may be experiencing a divorce, a death, or some other traumatic event but it is vital that you work to improve your own life because you can only control your own actions and not those of the people around you. Unfortunately when we act erratic and desperate ways to regain that which we lost we hurt ourselves and those around us. Oftentimes we will put our life in an even worse condition.
An example of this is if you get divorced. For some people the shock of being divorced was not foreshadowed by any visible events. Suddenly one day they are single and the love and support they thought they had is gone. The world they had and the friendship and loyalty they thought they had is gone. You’re in the state where you'll do anything to get him or her back. I understand how this can be traumatic as you feel your life spiraling out of control. Seems like your days are spent in despair and you're crying nonstop. Innocent songs on the radio suddenly make you begin to cry like a little baby.
It is important to remember that all of these feelings are natural. We’re all human of course and we all tend to deal with things in little different ways. It can be hard to deal with an event like this but instead of turning to drugs, alcohol, violence or some other self harming act you should instead focus on something positive that you've always been interested in.
Have you always been interested in bodybuilding but never felt that you had the time or motivation? Well now that you're single you have the time and you can use the pain of the divorce or other traumatic situation to motivate you to build your body up to the muscular physique that you've always wanted.Credit: Flickr/istolethetv
You can even use the motivation of building your body into a muscular shape to show your ex what she missed out on. Believe it or not a lot of guys start bodybuilding simply because they want to have an impressive body to show off to their ex. they want their ex to see what they missed out on. there's nothing more enjoyable then showing up to pick up your kids for the weekend from your ex-wife’s house and her new boyfriend is sitting on the couch with his fat gut hanging out while you are cut and ripped with visible abs.
You may have interests other than bodybuilding. Whatever your passion or interest is that you have always wanted to pursue then now is the time. Instead of engaging in self destructive habits find a positive outlet for your emotions. Time truly does heal all so you might as well make the best of the time and achieve something that you've always wanted to do in life.
