The importance of Qutb Minar in Delhi, India

Qutb Minar was designated a world heritage site by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). This complex centres on a 72.5m tall tower - the tallest stone tower in India, and the world's tallest brick minaret - and is made of fluted red sandstone. It was started at the end of the 12th century (between 1198-1202AD) to commemorate the Muslim conquest of Delhi.
