Originally from the UK, I emigrated to Vancouver, B.C. in the late sixties.  At the time Vancouver was a small  but beautiful city on the edge of the Pacific rainforest with a multicultural population and an aura of excitement. In fact, it was just beginning to develop into the world-class city it has now become. I fell in love with both the city and my future husband, and decided to make Vancouver home.
At the age of 50, after raising my family, I completed a BA in English and Linguistics and began a new career teaching English as a second language. I have retired from classroom teaching, but still teach on line via Skype. I also write on-line articles on a variety of topics which reflect my love of travel, language, literature, history, health and the environment.
